In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan delighted viewers with his signature humor and light-hearted banter. While interacting with contestant Trishul Singh Choudhary, a 30-year-old software engineer, Amitabh shared a funny story involving his grandchildren and his latest film, Kalki 2898 AD.
During their conversation, Trishul, who had expressed nervousness despite his initial confidence, found comfort in Amitabh's warm and welcoming presence. The host quickly eased his tension with a hug and a friendly chat, even tweaking some of the show's rules to make the contestant feel at home. As they joked around, Trishul asked the legendary actor if he had ever used a bean bag. Amitabh, with his usual wit, replied that while bean bags are indeed cozy, they aren't exactly suited for people of his age. The contestant then cheekily complimented Amitabh, saying, "But you’re only 40 or 45 years old!" To which the star smiled, appreciating the playful remark.
The conversation took a fun turn when Amitabh mentioned his experience watching a Hollywood sci-fi movie with his grandchildren. He confessed that he struggled to understand the film, and when his grandkids humorously admitted, "We didn’t understand Kalki either," it left everyone laughing.
Kaun Banega Crorepati isn't the only place Amitabh has been in the spotlight lately. His performance as Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD has garnered praise globally. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is a futuristic, dystopian sci-fi thriller that weaves elements of the Mahabharata into a post-apocalyptic setting. With a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, the movie has been a major talking point in the entertainment world.
Looking ahead, Amitabh is set to begin filming the much-anticipated sequel to Kalki 2898 AD in 2025, keeping fans eager for what's to come from this sci-fi saga.
