Earlier reports indicated that Liam Payne had been asked to leave the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires after allegedly being intoxicated and causing a disturbance among other guests. The hotel has declined to comment on the incident. In a previous statement, Pablo Policicchio, spokesperson for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, confirmed that Payne had “jumped from the balcony” of his hotel room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
In a translated statement from the prosecutor’s office, officials confirmed they are examining all possibilities, including foul play. The investigation is particularly focused on identifying who may have supplied the drugs reportedly found in Liam Payne’s hotel room. Authorities are also scrutinizing the involvement of any third parties leading up to his death, according to People.
Following Liam Payne's death, law enforcement described his hotel room as being in a state of chaos. During their investigation on October 17, police discovered prescription medications, including clonazepam (Klonopin), along with energy supplements and various over-the-counter drugs scattered throughout the room. Several items were also reportedly broken. In the hotel courtyard, where Payne’s body was found, authorities recovered a whiskey bottle, a lighter, and a cellphone.
