Elvish Yadav in trouble for taking photos inside Kashi Vishwanath Temple: REPORTS
Police complaint filed against Elvish Yadav for clicking photos inside Kashi Vishwanath temple

Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, finds himself in hot water again. Reports suggest that a police complaint has been lodged against him for allegedly taking photos within the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex, where the use of mobile phones and cameras is strictly prohibited.

According to these reports, the complaint was filed by Prateek Kumar Singh, a sessions court advocate in Varanasi, who has expressed concerns. In his letter, Singh mentioned that he learned about Yadav's photo in the temple through social media, which has led to questions being raised about the temple and district administration. Singh pointed out that the use of mobile phones and cameras is strictly prohibited within the Kashi Vishwanath temple premises and thus urged the police to acknowledge the issue and take appropriate action.

Singh's complaint, addressed to Joint Commissioner of Police Dr. KA Jilerson, calls for immediate action against Yadav. This comes amid ongoing investigations into Yadav's involvement in the Noida Snake Venom Case.

Arrested on March 17, 2024, Yadav was charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC. He was granted bail by the Gautam Budh Nagar district court after furnishing sureties.

For the unversed, the allegations against Elvish Yadav stem from his alleged involvement in a case involving the use and distribution of snake venom at a rave party in Noida, as reported by the Gautam Buddh Nagar police and lodged by an official from People for Animals (PFA). Alongside Yadav, five other individuals were named in the FIR. Subsequently, in May, the ED initiated proceedings under the PMLA, given the significant financial implications of the alleged racket.

Just this week, Yadav was questioned for nearly seven hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Lucknow, adding to his mounting legal troubles.

If reports are to be believed, the charges against him included violations under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC). After spending nearly a week in a high-security facility, he was released on bail pending further legal proceedings.
