What woman empowerment? Kya? Fast forward the show to 4 years and the supposedly empowered woman has lost all her kids and husbands and is living like a destitute and has no place to call her home. She has no solid career or anything.(All careers she pursued went down the drain, even ones which had potential like Amreeca Track1, MD-Dance track, Joshiben Ki rasoi, SC trophy , restaurant etc. Fame she got vanished quicker than anything. Nobody remembers her victory in SC or even her humiliation as she completed disassociated herself from a promising venture for sake of Dukhmukh.) Her sarees are now tattered and her hair are unkept. Her English accent feels worse and none of us can connect to her.(Maybe due to bad acting or maybe due to retarded character graph). She hasn't improved at all after Vanrajan was exposed. She went down the drain and even became a wannabe manipulator. The so called abusers are getting richer day by day. The kids who would at least apologise in past are now total brats. Baa and Vanrajan on other hand have bettered themselves. Anuj and Aadhya are separated and have started blaming the victim for all their problems. Bhai Bhabhi who were unscrupulous and greedy from day 1 finally got what they wanted. All is done to make Onupamaa look sad and mahaan.

Anuj, Vanraj, Pakhi, Baa, and Aadhya blaming Anupama for mistakes she did as well as those she did not do is only to make Anupama look "bechari" -- the opposite of "empowerment."

This show was never about women empowerment. It is just a gold mine for the channel and makers as there is a dedicated lot of innocent viewers who only view Anupama as a great human exploited and humiliated by her own kith and kin.

It's about the empowerment of two women and absolutely no others.

1. RG - imprinted herself in public consciousness through the character. Manages to stay in the news constantly even if her character goes down the drain.

2. Deepa Shahi - Thoo thoo Shahi ne apni poojaniya mataji ko co-producer bana diya. Full PR is done and many articles are written about her - young at heart, never too late to begin, blah blah; the cast refers to her as the guiding force and inspiration etc etc. Basically, the hag gets a lot of fame and credit (without doing much?)

Baaki, Anupamaa the fictional character ka toh kabhi kuch accha hone nahi vala aur uske crazed pankhas ka dimaag kharab hota rehta hai smiley39

Anupamaa is not empowerment, but embarrassment.

It is embarrassing to admit that we follow this nonsensical show. The protagonist and the actress is an embarrassment to womanhood as well!
