That is why India law don't allow any couple to adopt child unless they have stability of marriage for two two years

..

1. US Visa laws require physical presence for an interview and biometrics to be done.

Visa processing and amendment take months.

Furthermore, we cannot be employed on tourist visas, there is restricted working on Business Visas etc. Etc.

2. Divorce requires appearance before the court unless the spouse is declared missing (i think it is for >=7 years), absconding or having Abandoned.

But ALL of this happened on the show. So, what they show, is what happened🤷🏻‍♀️.

Anupama and Anuj TOGETHER adopted Choti Anu aka Adhya. Now, in the event of a divorce, there would be a custody case unless one of the spouse is declared missing (>= 7 years), absconding or has abandoned the family.

Anupamaa is a mother of convenience. Choti gets counted as one of her kids only when necessary. Otherwise, who in the right mind would walk out on a young child? There are many kids who get mad at their parents, stomp, throw a fit etc. What would the world be if all moms walked out & washed off their responsibility in such instances?
