Rani was the only one who kept doing lot of films with Abhishek despite his flops. Some soft spot or fling may have been there. Their jodi was popular and hit and they did win fav jodi awards then.

The fact that she got him removed from Bunty aur Babli 2 speaks volumes about a sour past. It is very much verified that Rani and Abhishek were a serious thing. Not sure what happened between them ? 🤷‍♀️

There was an article stating how she was upset that Abhishek or Sr.Bachhan did not even invite her to Abhi-Ash's wedding.. lol Maybe she was pissed with him leaving her for Aish and then the lack of invite, as she was close to the Bachhan family overall.

Now Abhi would've been the second guy that left her for Aish, after Vivek if that happened. So maybe she was miffed.

All the people she seems to have had flings with - Salman, Vivek, Abhi... most were also affiliated with Aish or had lefft her for Aish? Those were personal blows at Rani.

So Rani I guess took it out professionally? by grabbing Aish's professional projects when given the chance.

But she was miffed with the Bacchans for not inviting her to Jr.Bachhan's wedding, despite her closeness to both Bachhans. She worked with them in KANK, Black etc.

Very few celebs were invited to their wedding. No one takes lack of an invite that personally. To get someone removed from a movie because they didn’t invite you to their wedding just sounds petty and unbelievable. It had to be something more serious than that.

Rani seemed visibly bitter after Abhishek broke off and married Ash.

One can see how irritable she had become and her appearance declined, health and fitness declined then.

Her films also began to flop. She had fallout with media also and fought with camera persons during shooting of LCMD.

She got into puja paath totke upay also then. And was accused of even trying black magic to save her career and personal life and consulting babas and tantriks.

Bachchans not inviting her to wedding and cold shouldering her, Khans also no longer working with her, irked her more it seems. She continued to stay loyal to Chopras as their in house actor.

She seems to have been persistent to impress Adi Chopra and marry up no matter what. Yash and Pam Chopra never favoured Adi leaving his first wife Payal as they were fond of her. But as soon as Yash Chopra died, coast was clear, Pam was overpowered, Payal was out and Adi married Rani.

Now she is malkin at YRF and gets tailor made projects for self.

Rani was friendly with Ash at some point in early 2000s.

But they became bitter foes after Ash was removed from films and was replaced by Rani and latter did not inform her or talk about it either.

Ash being preferred by all guys Rani eyed, may, have been another cause of cold war.

Especially losing Abhishek since Rani was really trying too hard for years to please Bachchans including touching feet of AB sr and Jaya at award shows, trying to present a sanskari image.

Bachchans no longer being even on talking terms with Rani and not inviting her to wedding or other parties really must have embittered her more and she took her revenge by slowly ensuring Bachchans get no YRF projects or Abhishek is removed from Bunty Aur Babli 2. Abhishek's role has been getting shorter and more negligible in Dhoom series too compared to first Dhoom film.

Plenty of interviews of Rani in past, expressing fondness for Khans, Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh got most buttering from her. She claimed to be his fan since childhood.

Rani and Vivek were admired as a pair and once won a poll about which reel life couple should get married in real life. They were that sizzling in chemistry in Saathiya. IDK if Vivek was serious about her but he spoke fondly of her as a warm person.

My hunch is Rani has been quite a smart player and social climber. She was most keen to win over Bachchans and be Bachchan bahu at one point and media would say she reminded of AB sr and Jaya in Zanjeer and looked like Abhi's real wife in Yuva. Apparently Jaya did not approve of her.

Rani had given buttering interviews for all Khans, Bachchans and Hrithik. Impressing all top names then. And let go of many good offers just to do films with Khans, Chopras. She declined Monsoon Wedding and is said to have refused The Namesake too, just to do films with Khans and Chopras. She could have had better career abroad if she chose either Monsoon Wedding or Namesake but she was more keen to commit dates for Khan and Chopra films.

I think her buttering paid off which is why she was replaced from all films Ash was supposed to do earlier and got all awards back then and medis coverage too.

Absolutely, yes. There were very strong rumours of Jr & Rani having an affair too during all their film shootings & it’s said it was she who was heavily pursuing him for marriage but he wasn’t really interested. Ash got her revenge back by ousting her & becoming the Bachchan “Bahurani.” 😆😆
