I feel Salman had become too territorial and possessive about Ash then.

I remember Subhash Ghai tried to malign Aish's image because she wasn't giving in to him, by saying that she chopped other actresses roles in his films and overpowered them or something like that. Like the way it was worded came across as really bitter.

Also hate what he did to a good soul like R D Burman in his last days.

My hunch is Rani has been quite a smart player and social climber. She was most keen to win over Bachchans and be Bachchan bahu at one point and media would say she reminded of AB sr and Jaya in Zanjeer and looked like Abhi's real wife in Yuva. Apparently Jaya did not approve of her.

Rani had given buttering interviews for all Khans, Bachchans and Hrithik. Impressing all top names then. And let go of many good offers just to do films with Khans, Chopras. She declined Monsoon Wedding and is said to have refused The Namesake too, just to do films with Khans and Chopras. She could have had better career abroad if she chose either Monsoon Wedding or Namesake but she was more keen to commit dates for Khan and Chopra films.

I think her buttering paid off which is why she was replaced from all films Ash was supposed to do earlier and got all awards back then and medis coverage too.

This post is a typical example of how Ash fans still can’t get over the fact that Rani pipped her out of the game and became number 1 post 2002 .

I never understood the delusional nature of Aishu Jaanu and her fans who consider Ash to be cleopatra and Rani as “average” looking who got roles by sleeping with heroes. Who are you fooling ? I was alive and well when the Rani/Ash fiasco happened. Aishu jaanu was a narcissistic, self obsessed and mean (wooden ofcourse) whom everyone disliked. Even if the Salman thing din happen , Ash would have flopped nonetheless as she was known to be difficult and hard to work with .On top of it, she was/is a below average actress who froze in front of the camera. No wonder that her good friend Sanjay went for Rani when it came to playing an unbelievably challenging role . Why not Ash ? Why Rani all of a sudden ? Or will you say now that Rani slept with SLB too who’s known to like men ? The answer is simple , Rani is the better choice :)

You all can build a false narrative and malign Rani as much as you want but truth remains the same.

Someone asked how Rani got all the big roles , lmao. It’s because she proved herself as an actress par excellence in addition to being charming and exotic. She’s someone who cannot be replaced not because she’s ONLY beautiful like Aishu who has been out of work back then and even now . It’s because BEAUTY FADES but talent doesn’t . It’s because Rani brought believability to the characters she played . She could be the girl next door and the quintessential heroine and she effortlessly switch between the two , whenever and however required. While all that Ash is and still remains is an example of a conventionally beautiful looking woman(well now she has ruined that too by using heavy BOTOX) .Those who are ugly worship her as they aspire to be her but barring them, no one cares or cared about her as you can clearly see . She has no Bollywood films since Fanney Khan and we all saw how poorly she acted in Jazba and Sarabjit . Remember that comical RUN to save her daughter lmao .

Coming to Vivek , they were very good friends until this press conference. She was hurt that Vivek took her name in this mess he created. So, she distanced herself and till date ,has never spoken about him. She basically treats him like Ebola.There were rumors of her affair with Abhishek of course but no one knows the truth. Of course , Aishu Janu fans live in their fairyland where every guy leaves Rani for her beauty . If only wishes were horses , darlings :D And..and look who’s the winner in this aspect too in the long run .. Aishu Janu lives separately with her daughter and mother and is weary of her own flop husband while Rani lives happily as the Malkin of the biggest production house in India.. I understand the frustration of Aishu fans .. No career , No Husband .. even the beauty is gone and completely ruined .. she looks like scary evil witch now . All that negativity is finally manifesting on her face and it’s for the world to see .. of course the fans are blind but even they are sharing 10 year old pictures of her .. lmao..

She maintained relationship with all the big guns .The Bachchans were warm towards her till Ash then they became neutral except Big B. Post her and Ash father death and her marriage to Chopras she has been on cordial terms with everyone. Except Govinda and Abhishek she was not linked up with anyone. All the 3 Khans have treated her like a kid and nothing more.

THIS! I remember an episode from Salman’s show where Salman called Rani his sister and Rani was like “oh no, you can’t call me that in front of camera “ .. I am appalled how some people can negate things to suit their own narrative..

This thread has surprised me a bit. When did Salman and Rani hook up 🤔 Or even Salman and Preity for that matter, may be I am less informed about these things but I only saw friendship between these people and nothing else.
