Axar to Shakib, SIX, goes again, this time longer. Flighted delivery on the stumps, Shakib steps out and lofts this nicely over mid-wicket for a maximum

Axar to Shakib, FOUR, ah interesting! Shakib steps out and slogs, hits over mid-wicket and gets four

India have been made to toil hard here in Chattogram. The two left-handed Bangladesh openers batted the entire first session and stitched a century partnership. There were hardly any chances created either. It was Umesh Yadav in the post-lunch session who managed to get the breakthrough as he induced a loose shot from Shanto. The hosts lost two more wickets before Tea with Yasir falling to Axar and Litton Das throwing his wicket away against Kuldeep. Debutant Zakir Hasan batted with a superb temperament to register his maiden Test ton but perished immediately with Ashwin bagging his first wicket of the match. Axar bowled superbly with the second new ball. He picked two wickets in the same over - while Mushfiqur was beaten by the spin on the back foot, Nurul was stumped coming forward. For a moment, it looked like Bangladesh would crumble today itself, but Shakib and Mehidy dragged this Test into the final day by batting 14 overs. While the former wasn't afraid to play aerial shots, the latter was happy to block it around.
Right then, this is the equation. Three sessions remain: Bangladesh require 241 runs | India need 4 wickets. The visitors are certainly the favourites but can the hosts spring in a surprise on the final day. Batting has been fairly easy against the older ball. Tune in tomorrow to find out how the action unfolds.

zakir played very well in this innings
very brave innings from a debutant under pressure
deserved the century but sadly couldnt carry on scoring today
shanto also played well, but middle order screwed up and messed up all the hardwork done by the young openers
