You are right, there is really no strong reason for not asking BD to follow-on.

Cheers..

Yeah. But these sort of heroics are very rare: it's not often that after following on, a side will then pose a total imposing enough to go on to win. The Dravid/Laxman heroics in 2001 was only the second time in history that it happened

The reason I've heard is that the fielders get tired, and therefore would prefer the side to bat for a while before taking the field again. Except that it introduces an avoidable risk factor that you don't have w/ a follow-on: you can bowl freely and even if the opposition makes you bat again, chances are you can attain their total. But in this case, they bowled a few more overs than they did in a one day match, so they should have had no issues taking the field again

Target of 600 should give extra Mental pressure than 500 plus Kohli too can make some runs.

India not Follow-on no longer in test koz they Figures out After tea on day 4 & Day 5 more turn & Bounce

Yesterday (3rd day)both ind/BD together hits 317/4.

According to Shakib Day 4 great for batting at Chattogram

Myself Duetslover think this way " if Bangers hits 286/3 or 350/4 by the end of day 4 we still can beat them on Day 5.

Javed Omar & Iqbal 133 in 4th innings highest partnership by BD opener.
