I tried reading it in Roman transcription as I was really curious what a novel in Urdu would sound like. Well, I don't think I'm going to read in Urdu, ever 😆 It just sounds strange to me- not the dialogues, obviously, but the descriptions etc...
Started the English translation, am just on the first pages. It will take me a long time since I read multiple things at the same time 😛 Let's see. Reading all you guys gushing and excitement, I do have high hopes 😉
Wowww awesomee Amar bail discussions, AB is loveee 😳😳

oh yes..yes.. this is what I supposed as well .. it was to show her that he is not interested in her.. But I thought thats because something happened in America .. maybe some girl.. It wasn't revealed yet that he is love with her or has any feelings more that just friends wala type.. I was thinking that only Aleeza loved him.. was find of him.. he wasn't.. n its later that he will be realizing his love for her..But no.. he has AlWAYS loved her n he KNEW she loves him too.. n so on... UFF MAN.. I AM IN TEARS ONCE AGAIN... *sigh*

Also at the time Jahangir married Reshna, Omar had kept someone picture on his wallet. I think it was either his mom or judith. I wonder whose!

I knew Omar would die before starting the novel through spoilers on good reads.
Also since it has a love story and Aleezah was evidently in love with Omar, I was curious to know how Omar felt. I assumed it was love, but throughout the first half, specially when he confronts aleezah about his sleeping pills, I construed his words as pity. I felt Omar loved Aleezah as a parent would love his kid. The only real revelation of his non-platonic love came from 2 scenes: one while he is taking his last breath, the other scene was Judith/Aleezah's talk!
