Like maybe he is from a broken family himself which has affected him so much and he's breaking other famillies too. He marries Paimaan just to brea her ties with her brother.
Or maybe he loves his cousin from before, but due to something superstitious he has to marry someone else before marrying her. But then that would be too similar to Qudrat lol.
