Does 'Main Shahid Afridi Hoon' make anyone else uncomfortable?

I saw some of the promos for this movie, and the vulgarity of it made me stop the video in under a minute. I know the movie's not actually about Shahid Afridi but it seems extremely disrespectful to use the image and name of a man who is clearly very religious to promote a movie with such lewd content.

I never really liked Humayun Saeed but I didn't think he would stoop this low. If you want to make a movie like that go ahead and make it but don't tarnish someone else's image with it.

Glad am not the only one who feels this way.😵
But Afridi is supporting the flick - so he doesn't feel uncomfortable seeing all that. And if it doesn't make him uncomfortable, it isn't tarnishing his image.

Don't wish evil for anyone but I would hate for this movie to do well when we've got much superior content this year. 🤓

No! I read on FB that Afridi is strictly against it and he asked to get the songs removed as well!

He's a very religious and respectable guy! He would never promote such a thing!

I couldn't agree with you more. Afridi would never support something like this! I've started loathing Humayun Saeed for this!
Afridi has been my favourite since I was a child and to see someone playing with his reputation is just too much! He is a father of 4 girls, for heaven's sake!

I saw the songs on YouTube and was quite surprised that they were from a pakistani film
I know we are trying to promote our industry but we should do this within our limits and should remember that this vulgarity is not allowed in our religion and we should make films that we can watch with our families

SmileyStar is right. Afridi has publicly condemned this movie and made it clear that he has no involvement. In the initial stages they approached him to request permission to use his name, he gave permission after they told him the movie would be about a kid who is a fan of Afridi and dreams of becoming the next big cricketer. Afridi said he thought it would be a nice uplifting movie that teaches kids to dream big because they can achieve whatever they set their mind to. He said he was shocked when he saw the song and does not agree with what's being shown.

Afridi is a religious guy, there's no way he would be ok with something like this.

even i heard that Afridi wasnt much happy with it... a guy like him can never be happy on such content associated with his name.
