Naseeruddin Shah Lends His Voice To Pakistani Television

The actor debuted in Pakistani films with Shoaib Mansoor's Khuda Ke Liye. But now he'll make his voice heard on TV in Pakistan

Naseeruddin Shah is all set to add another feather in his cap and wethinks he might just win the hearts of his fans from the neighbouring country. According to the buzz Shah is all set to lend his voice for a Pakistani adaptation of Heer-Ranjha. While it maybe Naseer's first voice-over in Pakistan, he is definitely not oblivious to this art. Remember his narration in Amol Palekar's Paheli? Naseer did a commendable job with that one, and we're sure he will do justice to Pakistan's Heer-Ranjha too.

The man who wants to make the serial is Mian Yousuf Salahuddin aka Uncle Joe. He is a Pakistani socialite, philanthropist and well-known cultural icon has set his eyes on the cult love-story of Heer-Ranjha. But now he wants to present it with a tiny tweak. Talking about his plans Salahuddin said that he felt the need to revive the old classic tale into a new version. "The serial will be directed by Shahid Zahoor and the screenplay has been done by Aqeel Ruby. We have roped in Naseeruddin Shah to do the voice-over for the drama. Pakistan's well-known television actor Ahsan Khan will play the role of Ranjha, whereas model-cum-singer Zaria will play the role of Heer," Salahuddin revealed.

While we're not sure if we'll be privy to this version of Heer-Ranjha, we wish all the best to Naseer for this venture. Cheers!
