Chapter 42 Vicky then went up to Arjun and started doing bhangra and both of them were gyrating like typical Punjabi mundas. Arjun and Vicky did their duo with Arjun playing the dhol and Vicky working around him in step that they both knew from the times they had danced at weddings and festivals. The whole atmosphere moved up a notch and the noise, voices rose to decibles that spoke of festivities, laughter and happiness. People had made an impromptu circle around the two boys and the relatives and friends were joining in. Daadi's shoulders were also moving to the rhythm of the dhol and Abs family was clapping from the sidelines with Abs's brother joining in with Arjun and Vicky in the revelry.

Faz was standing next to daadi, Nargis and Abs and decided to pull Abs and Nargis into the dance. She had joined the brothers in many a family festivities and enjoyed dancing. She pulled both them them into the center and pushed Nargis beside Vicky who turned, saw Nargis and started dancing around her. Adi had pulled up maan to the floor when he had seen Abs been dragged and brought Maan and Abs together for a dance. He wanted to dance with Faz but did not know whether it would be appropriate, he was almost moving away, when Faz, pulled his hand and drew him into the dance. All the boys were having fun and Arjun was looking out for Nupur who was not to be seen.

The band was playing some fantastic numbers and everyone was enjoying the music and dance. Arjun furtively looked around the room to see if Nupur was around, he was almost regretting the anchoring dhol which did not allow him to go look for her. He then heard everyone clap harder and cheer someone who was directly behind him. He turned still playing the dhol to the beat when he saw, the object of his thoughts tying up the sash around her waist, readying herself for what looked like a battle but it was more like a dance number. He stopped playing, there was silence for a second and then the band played Aaya re and Nupur started dancing. She was a fantastic dancer and she had everyone gaping to her moves. Arjun had a wide smile on his face and let go of his dhol to clap as Nupur danced. After some moves, Nupur pulled in Abs, who reluctantly joined in, she was hardly able to lift her head when Vicky and Maan came up to her and said, Lighten up! Dance, apne yahan aise hi hota hai. Maan whispered, Cherie, wont you dance with me and took her hands and twirled her around lightly. Vicky then pulled up Nargis and started dancing with her. Nargis did not know whether it was appropriate but she loved Punjabi music and decided to have fun, after all she was going to be part of this family and joining in the festivities was part of it, she took her cue from Vicky and danced. Arjun had decided to flit around Nupur like a bee around flower and was showering attention to her while keeping up with her intricate steps. Nupur was surprised to see Arjun could dance so well.

Adi was still in shock at his hand bein held by Faz, he danced but was conscious of Faz and her nearness and soon feigned ignorance and moved slightly away from her. Faz was equally stunned to have done something so blatant, but it was on a spur of the moment thing and she did want to dance with Adi, but looked it he was not interested and she moved away slightly to give him room to walk away without making it look obvious.

Daadi also joined the crowd when both her grandsons pulled her to the center and danced with her. Everyone was enjoying the impromptu party to the hilt. Even Abs's family joined in after initial hesitation. The pull of Punjabi dhol is such, that not a single person on the floor was standing still, if nothing, the shoulders were moving to the beat of the drums.

Vicky saw everyone engrossed and wanted to have a few moments with his beautiful Zeno. He pulled her hand and cut through the circle and took her into the secluded alcove near the entrance of the hall. Nargis had been looking back to see if anyone noticed them leaving the room, when Vicky stopped and she bumped into him. He said, Zeno, stop worrying, everything is under control.

He pulled her behind the arched pillar and put his hands beside her head and leaned into her. Zeno! He breathed, You have been taking my breath away since the first time I saw you but today you have blown me completely. You look breathtaking. He put his hand on her waist and Nargis clenched her stomach muscle in reaction. His cool hands on her warm body ran tingling sensations that were familiar yet new. She did not know what was it between them that a mere look, touch started this fire deep inside her belly. She put her hands on his face looked up into his eyes that were shimmering with unshed tears. Tears of emotion that was indescribable. She knew that this man meant more to her than anything on this earth. She opened her mouth to say but Vicky placed his lips on her and silenced her. She was not sure if any words would have come out but her eyes closed the minute his lips touched hers. Warm, soft lips that ran havoc with her senses. She moved into his arms and completed the embrace. She did not care at that moment if anyone would walk in on them, if anyone would see them she needed to feel her man hold her tight. She had emotions welling up in her that threatened to overflow. She hugged him tight and Vicky reciprocated. He held her close breaking the kiss to draw in much needed air and put her head on his shoulder to hold as close as possible in the given circumstance. He wanted to carry her up to his room and feel her body against his. He wanted her soft supple skin to rub against his hairy skin, creating a friction that will light an inferno of desire. He so wanted to take to the world that only two of them knew, but he made do with the stolen moment he just had right now. He hugged her tighter and was about to nuzzle her neck when he hear a cough, interrupting their little interlude.

He smiled when he heard the words, So this is where you two have been hiding'

Awesome update!! I was reading in the ofc and had to skim the last para cos of the bold huge fonts 😳😳..

Looks like Nups darling has gone to sleep.Ll respond in a while..

do you know..why i use the big fonts?? i have reading glasses..when i read other posts i have to squint...i dont wear my glasses as often as i should...so i dont want others to face the same problems..its typically me...do onto other as you want others to do to you...is one of my...principles in life...

Oye...calm down...no Daadi ma needed....samji!!! Vrush....khayaal rakhna....come on you know how it is na....we just needed a few mins alone together...haven't been alone for even a minute since we arrived!!!
