Shrimad Ramayan daily episode discussion thread (20/8/24)

Daily Episode Discussion Threads will be created and maintained by the DT every day. The previous EDT's will be locked, but you can access these threads by clicking the "episode discussion" tag below the title of the thread.

Please keep discussions limited to the episodes of that day as far as possible. Some references to previous episodes can be allowed for the sake of viable discussions.

A few tips to keep in mind while commenting on this thread

• Please use this thread ONLY to discuss the episodes, keeping chatting to the minimum. Refrain from bringing in off-topic, BTS (unless it is related to the show/episode), actor's SM posts, fans' SM posts or an actor's projects outside of this show. Such posts if found will be trashed and members can receive a warning. All such updates can either be shared in the Social Media thread or the character/actor’s AT.

• Please do not post entire episode links cause this will be considered as copyright infringement.

Devtas coming ka part shayad Aaj dikha de. But more than that is shurpi ka kalyaan kar de jaane se pehle. Warna yeh aur aag lagati rahegi.

Pata nahi kyo isko manthra ka getup Diya tha.

But I think uski cunningness ko dekh ke lagta hai she would have done manthra role better 😂

Awaiting further analysis and only one point from me.. I think whatever questions I had was sort of based from today's time . Treta yug mein kuch aur hi tha. So kind of accepted Jo dikhaya

Well, I sat through the entire episode, and dunno why but I felt very very sad Lakshman bhaiyya and Hanuman were me throughout the episode. They both looked so in pain.

Eh, what did I miss that my sisters noticed? Hasn't the actress' diction always been a problem? She still messes up simple words and half the time I don't understand what she is saying unless I really focus which I've stopped doing

However, I kinda felt like she visited IF and read my comments because, it looked like she put in efforts into this episode. She was speaking slowly and had 3-4 more expressions other than the regular single expression she had

Agree with you all that the way they showed Agni pariksha was milder. However, I still am not convinced about the entire episode in original Ramayan. If Lord Ram wanted to set an example as a King, he could've said he has faith in Seeta because she is his ardhangi. That way in Kaliyug, a woman could've said to her suspicious husband, that even Ram had faith in his wife, tu kaun hai shaq karne wala

They could've shown Gods descending and saving Seeta and confronting Lord Ram.

I expected at least one episode for setting up the pyre, if I can call it that. Lakshman and Hanuman crying their hearts out, which they were already doing

It all happened so quickly, the mandap was put up, and it was a solid mandap not a makeshift one

Rassi jal gai par bal nahi gaya, I mean, lakdiyaan jal gai but they were able to sustain Maata's weight and stood strong

My two Vanar friends were there, crying I'll miss them

Angad asked the questions I was asking, itna sanhar, itna bada yuddha and now asking Maat to prove she was pure Lakshman too, dude finally remembered that he has a wife If they want to show lovey-dovey moments, I would rather see Lakshman-Urmila, albeit the actress is taller than our bro

Prachi ke romantic expressions bhi worried hi honge, I can bet

I'll miss my Yellowdari terribly, she was so solid in this episode, I hope the actress gets good work, I may not watch but I'll be rooting for her, fighting!

Last one lakshman urmila scene well in rs ramayan they did show very cute moment between them when during lockdown they telecast on Doordarshan

But when they repeated on starplus they cut off lot of those scenes. I know even sunil lahri ji was surprised ki cut kar diya. That much only moment between them but very cute.

And was it just me or our Maata looked very pink?

The only funny thing was creating funeral pyre type for sita. Woh ajeeb tha.plus i forgot even our dear goblins were there too. Looking shocked.

But is shurpi ko pakdo Aaj. I think devta part will be shown today and Jo bhi rah gaya then prasthan for ayodhya
