Dear FQ,

I like you. I really do! But I am so tired of you playing the conventional leading man opposite women who are young enough to be your little girls. How I wish you would get experimental and take on something different if not exciting. How about playing an interesting, convoluted father figure to one of these young girls instead of their potential suitor? Or, how about playing the sly friend who with stealth and charm, takes over the heroine's fortune while she is left penniless, like the count character in Wilikie Collins' A Woman in White, while letting her be romanced by someone younger? Or something like the type of roles Sania Saeed or Samiya Mumtaz have started to play? I think both are closer to your age, isn't it? I mean Samiya Mumtaz in Saqday Tumhare or Faltu Larki is such a treat to watch even though she is not the conventional leading lady of either show. Maybe that is something male performers can learn from their female counterparts: the ease to adapt to non-leading parts as they get older, and ceding those leading roles to the younger lot. Every performer is initially discomfited by the idea of playing a character that is not the conventional leading man or woman, particularly one who has garnered a fair deal of adulation through his portrayals in such roles. However, at some point, one has to come around and see one's years squarely in the face, and roll accordingly. Wouldn't you agree?
Warm regards,
A viewer

I totally agree with you. I cannot see him with young girls anymore unless the role requires him the play a much older spouse. Same goes for humayun saeed. Thats why I couldnt watch bin roye. I mean they are not salman khan that they can manage such roles. Even Salman has moved on I think looking at his previous few movies. Humayun has been arond since I was a little kid.

Do not want to sound like an advocate for Faysal Quraishi. I also have problems with the kind of dramas he is doing currently but i think criticizing him for not doing interesting characters is a bit unfair. He has previously done many unusual characters including old and young such as in drama Virasat, Jhumka jaan, Aashti etc.

I would like to recommend his drama Ruswa. I like it a lot but I would advise people to go through the snippet first and see if the plot doesn't offend them because it has religious undertones.

Lol talking about me? I love salman khan :) He is not the greatest actor but has an awesome personality. Faisal Qureshi doesnt have the personality either IMO.
Adnan Siddiqui on the other hand has a great personality!

He is a good actor no doubt. But I am not interested right now unless there is something real good out there. I loved his MZZB and Qaide Tanhai.

I agree on few things here. Love FQ as an actor but outside of screen persona from interviews I too felt adnan siddiqi was better than FQ. FQ keeps on gabbing on his shows and talks a lot but little talk of adnan left me impressed.
FQ has done lots of good dramas but has not done much recently. One worst than next.

Is that ruswa where he ends up with Hindu turned Muslim maid ???
