I am writing to express deep concern and disappointment regarding the content aired on *Jhanak*, specifically the recent storyline involving the characters Anirudh, Arshi, and Jhanak. The show has taken a disturbing turn that, rather than providing quality entertainment, is negatively impacting viewers' mental health and promoting highly inappropriate themes.

In particular, the storyline where Arshi drugs and exploits Anirudh, with the aim of forcing an intimate relationship and achieving pregnancy, is profoundly troubling. Such content is not only insensitive but also sends harmful messages by normalizing coercive behavior, which should never be shown as acceptable or tolerable on mainstream television. This portrayal may be triggering to many viewers and undermines the serious nature of consent and the importance of healthy, consensual relationships.

Moreover, the storyline surrounding Anirudh's relationships with both Arshi and her sister, Jhanak, is both confusing and offensive. The suggestion that two sisters could share a physical relationship with the same man is not only unrealistic but also conveys a distorted image of relationships and family values. Additionally, depicting Anirudh and Arshi living together as husband and wife, without any formal marriage, goes against the cultural expectations and moral standards that are central to Indian society. This portrayal misrepresents Hindu marriage traditions and might be misinterpreted by viewers as a norm.

The continuous toxic, depressing, and torturous elements that fill each episode are also a cause for grave concern. Almost all episodes contains extreme toxic and vulgar dialogues in the name of entertainment. The mental health of the viewers must be considered, especially with the show seeming to disregard the impact of such distressing content. With the mental well-being of audiences already at risk in today’s stressful world, such negativity only exacerbates emotional strain and discomfort.

As a viewer, I strongly urge to reconsider the direction of this storyline as it contains excessive immoral dialogues and to ensure that future content aligns with positive values and ethical storytelling. Star Plus has now no longer been known for its family-friendly, responsible programming, and therefore, maintaining this reputation is crucial to keeping viewers’ trust. We hope you will address this issue promptly and adopt a more responsible approach to content by taking a strict action against Motion Pictures Ltd. as well as Starplus.

It would be better to shut the show and star plus come up with some light hearted shows, so that people can go to bed with a positive mind and heart. At least makers should think that this is the last show of the day, make it something watchable. This is Super Depressing. Each track is depressing than the previous ones. But seriously yesterday trend was much needed. Atleast viewers vent out their frustrations and raised voice. Ab chahe jo bhi kare makers that's their call.
