Rainbow Reign🌈Unfurling the Results

Hello everyone!

We're finally at the end of a month-long sojourn of celebrating Pride and related experiences, stories and gaining and sharing knowledge and awareness.

But for us, the FFDT, the journey was far, far, longer than a month.

The month of June spelled the culmination of several months of ideation, planning, brainstorming & hard work that enabled us to present all these facts, data and events/ contests for you.

A huge shout-out to everyone on the FFDT who enthusiastically volunteered for this effort and worked tirelessly for days (& nights) in an amazing example of synergistic teamwork!

This project was dear to all of us, and researching various facts and data for posts was an incredible experience in learning and awareness, and we hope reading the posts and participating in the games/ events helped you all gain some more knowledge as well.

Let's move on to announcing the long and eagerly awaited results of the contests now!

Let's start with the event that went for almost a month without any cease.

RAINBOW WORDPLAY

We are overwhelmed by your response and we were thrilled to read the beautiful stories you submitted. But there can be only one winner.

We, however, have got two for two different categories!

Congratulations Bee222 for winning Master Storyteller.

We added the scores for all the stories written by each author and then averaged them with respect to the number of stories they wrote during the whole month. The title is given to the highest average score.

Next up, we have the Relay Champion for the participant who championed the relay by writing the most number of stories and hence scored the most points.

This game consisted of 10 questions about LGBTQ+ history, culture, and important figures.

PRIDE PICTURE PARTY

This game, an IF style pictionary, consisted of five questions where participants were supposed to guess the word that would be related to the LGBTQAI+ theme.

On the third weekend of June, Rainbow Rendezvous returned with another game.

EMOJI QUEERFLIX

We had participants cracking sequences of emojis to decipher the name of the movie related to the LGBTQAI+ theme.

We are thrilled to congratulate our three winners for this game, each of whom cracked 13 out of 15 emoji sequences.

BREAK THE TABOO

It was a partner game where each pair of partners got a unique list of questions related to Pride Month and the LGBTQAI+ community.

Each participant took turns to describe words from the list to the team-mate or guess from that list while the team-mate described.

We got an overwhelming response for this game. Every team was so fabulous and enthusiastic!

WildestDreams won this game with an impressive 79 points!

Finally, coming to the final game of Rainbow Rendezvous.

SCAVENGER QUEST

There were twelve puzzles each of which led participants to one LGBTQAI+ related term, a forum of IF and a rainbow badge.

The winner of this game made it to the top of the leaderboard with 132 points.

Queerchain was another wonderful initiative we launched as part of the Pride month celebration.

The two fabulous stories (one narrative & one script) prompted by oh_nakhrewaali and LizzieBennet based on LGBTQAI+ characters and their struggles also deserve due acknowledgement and accolades.

Shoutout and deep thanks to Shirsha, ExoticDisaster, DreamOfEndless, oh_nakhrewaali & LizzieBennet for contributing segments/scenes to these beautiful stories and helping weave them into a colorful tapestry of love and acceptance.
