Shilpa had informed Geeta about it and Geeta was happy about this decision. She knew this time Nupur needed time to gain the trust therefore she wanted Mayank and Nupur to come close before the marriage.

Geeta entered the room where both Nupur and Gunjan were sitting engaged in studying. Entering the room Geeta took Nupur's book from her hand. Nupur had not noticed Geeta entering the room so it was a kind of a shock for her.

"Maa ab yeh kya hai?"

"Kya kya?"

"Maa mujhe padhna hai."

Nupur said while trying to snatch her book from Geeta but it wasn't very easy.

"Kitna padhegi beta."

"Maa shayad tumhe yaad nahi but next Monday se mere exams hai."

"To iska yeh matlab to nahi ki tu bas kitabo mein hi doobi rahe."

"Maa ye tum bol rahi ho mujhe yakeen nahi hota. Mera last year hai Maa acha karna hai mujhe .Kaisa lagega agar pure panch saal ache results aur fir masters ke final year me gande marks"

"wo to tere ane se rahe gande marks kabhi aye jo ab ayenge isliye thoda relax kar."

"Maa abhi nahi.Book de do please"

"EK hi shart par book milegi."

"Kaisi shart?"

Nupur asked giving her a confused look.

"Tu promise kar mana nahi karegi."

"Theek hai."

She said taking her talk lightly not knowing what's coming and gulping down a glass of water.

"Tujhe aj dinner pe jana hoga Mayank ke sath?"

Spitting out all the water she shouted

"What?"

Geeta was a bit taken aback with her reaction but then she knew how Nupur is. Geeta knew if she would have been the old Nupur she would have blushed and not shouted in such a way.

"Kyu awkward hai?Shaadi hone wali hai tum dono ki abhi nahi to kya shaadi ke bad to bohot dair ho jayegi time hai to usko utilize karo."

"Ma mujhe kahin nahi jana."

"Jana to padega kyu ki maine to ha kardi hai aur 7 baje Mayank ajayega."

"Maa.."

"Kuch nahi sunna mujhe bas tayyari kar."

Saying this she left the place and nupur knew she could not argue any further so she just sat in her place not moving.

Gunjan who was noticing all this and just decided to move out of the room to give her some free time. Gunjan knew she needed time things cannot settle so fast.

Nupur was sitting there thinking about her attitude towards life now.

"Nupur itna agar tu ghabrayegi to fir hogaya kabhi na kabhi to tujhe ye step lena hi hai. To aaj kyu nahi. Aise bhi Mayank bohot different hai.Tujhe sab pata hai fir bhi ye ghabrahat kyu. Hey Bhagwan mujhe jeevan me age badhne ki shakti de."

Saying this she glanced at the clock and noticing that there was enough time she decided to continue studying till 5:30.

Mayank had started getting ready for the evening. He chose to be in his normal formal suit. Though his getting dressed up well was quite normal but he knew his mother wouldn't spare him. She would pull his leg as much as she could saying that he is dressed in a special way just for Nupur. All these thoughts were irritating him so he took a deep sigh and glanced at his watch. It was 6:45 and he thought that it was the right time to leave for Nupur's place.

When he was about to move forward shilpa entered the room shouting at him.

"Mayu tu abhi tak yahin hai.7 baje ka time dia thaa maine Nupur ke ghar

Pohonchne ka?Time kya hua hai?"

"Maa main bas nikal hi raha tha?"

"Raha tha nikla to nahi na. Tera kya hoga Mayu abhi koi meeting hoti tu nikal chukka hota."

"Wo to hai but Maa ab nikal raha hoon na jane do."

"Nahi nahi ek second ."

"Ma."

He knew what she was trying to start he wanted to run but he knew he couldn't otherwise she would have yet another topic to irritate him by teasing the hell out of him.

"Itna tayyar hogaya aj tu. Kabhi mere sath dinner pe jaane ke liye itni tayyari to nahi ki."

"Maa main roz aise hi dressed hota hoon."

"Acha ."

She said in amusement and added further

"To alag aj kya lag raha hai wait let me see."

Meanwhile Mayank was standing there and getting irritated while Shilpa was enjoying it

"Ma."

"Chup kar dekhne de. Haan ab samajh aya aj tera chahra kuch zada hi chamak raha hai. Aye haye aisi chamak sirf Nupur ke milne ke nam se shaadi ke baad kya hoga."

"Ma abhi late nahi ho raha."

He said while grinding his teeth and shilpa started laughing loudly.

"Jaa sahi se jana"

"Bye ma."

"Bye"

Nupur on the other hand had worn a white simple churidaar kurta which really looked pretty on her. She had applied a little lip balm of light pink colour. Her lip balm was really complementing her glowing skin.

She had her hair open though slightly tucked. She was indeed looking very pretty in her simplicity.

It was 7:15 and she was still waiting for his arrival. She was a bit annoyed but was trying to calm herself.

Suudenly she heard her name being called by Geeta. She knew what the matter was so after checking herself in the mirror she left the room.

Mayank was sitting on the sofa downstairs as expected talking to Geeta ,not exactly talking, but he kept nodding his head on everything geeta was saying.

Nupur had a slight smile seeing this because she could very well understand the situation of sitting in front of a kind of a stranger.

"Lo Nupur agayi ab tum dono ko nikalna chahyie."

Saying this Geeta and Mayank got up and they all started walking towards the door. Gunjan also joined to bid them good bye.

"Bua yeh dono ko nahi pata but ye dono kitne ache lagte hai sath me."

Gunjan said while admiring them.

"Sach kaha Gunjan. I believe he is the right guy for her."

Nupur and Mayank made their way towards the car and Mayank like a true gentleman opened the gate for her and made her sit,

Mayank then sat on the driver's seat and they started their short drive towards the restaurant. There was complete silence neither of them could speak although they wanted to. Mayank tried starting a conversation

"So..What are you doing?"

Nupur looked at him and then with a bit of a hesitation she spoke

"Last year hai masters ka. Next week se exams."

"Oh ok to padhai ke baad kya plan hai?"

Nupur was a bit shocked and therefore placed her question in front of him

"Plan matlab?"

"Matlab jab itni padhai ki hai to koi kam bhi karne ka socha hoga. "

"Will you be okay if I work after marriage?"

"Of course mujhe kyu koi problem hogi infact ye to acha decision hoga talent ko waste kyu karna."

He said in a very casual tone.

Nupur could not believe she could not imagine that it could be so casual for him. She was happy she truly wanted to work and knowing that he is ok with it, half of her burden was gone.

"Mayank thanks a lot."

"Thanks? For what?"

He said in a very confused tone.

"Mayank I truly wanted to work. I wanted to ask you about it. I really appreciate the fact that you are so casual with it."

"nupur its your right to work if you really want to. isme kissi se puchne ka kya hai?"

Nupur just took a deep sigh with a sweet smile on her face.

"chalo restaurant agaya. "

Saying this he got down and opened the door for her and after giving his keys for valet parking they moved towards the restaurant.

The atmosphere was a lot more comfortable now and they seemed more relaxed.

Mayank after making her sit gave the menu card in her hand and asked her to order whatever she liked.

"Mayank tum kya loge?"

"nupur tumhe jo pasand hai mere liye bhi manga lo mujhe to kuch samjh nahi ata."

Nupur just smiled and placed the order for the two of them.

Nupur was looking around the place when she actually found that actually there was no one in the restaurant other than them.

"Mayank yeh restaurant itna khaali kyu hai?"

"Kyu ki ye booked hai."

"to hum yaha."

"Nupur maine hi book kiya you know I just don't feel comfortable isliye maine.look the food has arrived."

He said while looking at the waiter coming towards them.

"actually nupur mere liye yeh sab bohot infact bohot hi zada ajeeb hai maine yeh sab pehle kabhi kiya nahi. Main bohot hi reserved rehne walon me se hoon."

He said as if it was a fault being reserved.

"To isme galat kya hai?"

She said while looking in his eyes.He really liked the way she said it

"Galat to kuch nahi hai but ladkiyon ko usually aise ladke.."

"There is nothing usual about me mayank."

She said while pretending.

Both chuckled at it and started having the food.

With a bit of chatting and sharing a laugh they ended their dinner and mayank after dropping her home could not get off the smile from his face neither could nupur because they had not imagined it to go so comfortably though there were quite uncomfortable in the beginning but later on things had taken a turn. They seemed really casual and were really pleased with the meeting. They wanted some more meetings although they did not express it but it was surely somewhere in the corner of their heart.
