Le ja mujhe saath tere (Take me with you) Part 1

I dedicate this story to my friend Revu who wants me to write a story on Naren-Nandini.

Nandini's phone started ringing.

Her face blossomed seeing her best friend's name on the phone.

She picked up the call:Hi Naren!

Naren:Hi Nandini!Can you come home?

Nandini:Sure.But why?

Naren:I have prepared a caramel custard.It's my first attempt in cooking.So I want you to be the first person to taste it.

Nandini:Wow! Caramel custard! I love it.I am so excited to have it.I will come there.

Naren:Yes..come soon.I am preparing potato dish also.

Nandini:Full cooking..cool.Carry on.

Nandini reached Naren's home.

Naren was cooking.

Nandini:Arey wah Naren!Nice smell is coming.I am sure that it is yummy.

He smiled.

Suddenly by mistake his hand touched the hot pot.

Naren:Ahh!

Nandini:Oh no...

Nandini put cold ice on it.She started blowing air in his palm.

Naren smiled.

Naren:I am lucky to get a caring friend like you.

Nandini:Don't praise me too much.I came here to have your food.

He smiled.

He served her the dishes.

After eating them,she said:Wow!It is yummy.I should marry you.Then I can eat tasty food daily.

Naren:What?Do you have any plan to marry me?

Nandini became dull.

Nandini:I was just joking.Be cool.

Naren:I know that you were joking.After all we are just best friends.

She became dull again.

She thought:Only best friends?

Naren:But you should surely marry a chef who can feed you good food.Because you don't like cooking.

They both laughed.

Suddenly Nandini noticed that her earring was missing from one ear of hers.

Nandini:Where is my earring?I lost it.

Naren found the earring from the floor and took it.

Naren:Hey...I found your earring.

She was relieved.

He put the earring on her ear.She felt goosebumps as his finger rubbed her skin.

Naren and Nandini were in an amusement work.They were in the giant wheel.

Nandini was getting scared while looking out.

Nandini:I can't sit here anymore Naren.I want to get down.

Naren:What are you saying Nandini?

Nandini:I feel scared while looking out.

Naren:Nandini...relax.

Why are you looking outside?We are inside.We should enjoy the ride.

Nandini:I did'nt know that it was scary before getting inside.Otherwise I would not have tried this ride.

Naren:Don't be scared.I am with you.If you are scared,just look at my eyes.When you look at my eyes,your fear will disappear.

Nandini stared at his eyes.They both were in deep eye lock.

The giant wheel reached the floor and everyone started getting out.

Naren:We have come down Nandini.

Nandini was surprised.

Nandini:I did not even know when we reached down.

Naren:I told you that you won't be scared if you look at my eyes.It's right.

Nandini smiled.

She thought:I did not realise my fear because I was lost in your beautiful eyes.I felt so romantic that time.It was so beautiful.

Nandini was sitting with her cousin Nitya.

Nitya:Nandini,you love Naren.Why don't you confess your love to him?

Nandini:I am going to propose to him.I will do that soon.

Nitya:Have you met his family?

Nandini:No.His family is in Delhi.He is staying in Mumbai for his job.

Nitya:Okay.

Days passed...

Nandini dressed up well.

Nitya:Today you have dressed well.Why Nandini?Are you going to meet Naren?

Nandini blushed:Ya.I am going to propose to Naren.

Nitya:Wow!That's nice.

Nandini went to meet Naren.

Before she could propose to him,Naren said:Nandini,I have a surprise for you.You will be surely shocked.

Nandini:What's the surprise?

Naren:It's the most beautiful secret of my life.

He showed her some photographs.

Nandini could not believe her eyes as Naren was with another girl in the photographs.

She was broken.

She thought:Naren loves another girl.He considers me only as a friend.

She felt that her head was spinning.

Naren:You got shocked?

Nandini:Naren...I need to go back now.

Naren:What happened Nandini?Why suddenly..?

Nandini:I am not feeling well.

Naren:I will take you to the hospital.

Nandini:No need.It's my monthly stomach pain.If I go home and rest,I will be fine.

Naren:Okay.Take rest Nandini.

Nandini:Yes.

Nandini went back home.

Nandini sat on the bed and cried.

Nandini:Everything is finished.Naren loves someone else.

The next day Naren went near Nandini during the office break time.

Naren:How are you Nandini?Are you feeling better?

Nandini:Yes.

Naren:I could not complete saying about the girl in the photographs.

Nandini thought:I don't feel like hearing about the girl Naren loves.She is my enemy.

Naren:She is Maitree.

Nandini:Naren,why did you hide this secret from me?

Naren:I wanted to surprise you.

Nandini thought:This was not a surprise,it was a terror.

Nandini:You could have told me about loving Maitree long ago.Then I would not have made myself a fool by loving you.

Nandini was silent.

Naren started narrating a love story.

In another house...

A girl named Maitree was seen talking to her friend Malini.

Malini:Maitree,you are going to get married.How was your love story?

Maitree:The beginning of our love story was very cute.

Flash back...

Maitree was walking on the road.She bumped into a boy.

Maitree got angry and asked him:Can't you see me coming this way?

He:No.Because I cannot see.

Maitree:What?

Suddenly Maitree noticed him wear sun glasses.

Maitree thought:He is wearing black specs.Is he blind?

He removed his glasses.

He:Sorry for the disturbance.But I am blind.So I could not see you.

Maitree felt guilty and apologized:I am sorry.I did not know it.

He:It's okay.Everyone misunderstands me.

Maitree:That's sad.What's your name?

He:I am Saransh.

Maitree:I am Maitree.

He:If possible please help me to cross the road.

Maitree:Sure.

She held his hand and crossed the road.

Saransh:Thank you so much Maitree.I will never forget your kindness.

Maitree:No need of any 'thanks'.

Suddenly he burst into laughter.Maitree was confused.

Maitree:Why are you laughing?

Saransh:I am sorry.I am not blind.I was just pretending to be blind.

Maitree was shocked:What?You cheater!Why did you fool me?

Saransh:You are misunderstanding me.I am the host of the TV show 'Golmal'.Guess you have not watched the show or me.That's why you got fooled easily.Our job is to fool people and give them gifts.

Maitree was surprised.She turned back and got surprised to see some people shooting them.

Saransh:We are really sorry.

Maitree was embarrassed.

Saransh took the gift and gave it to her:This is a gift from our Golmaal team.

She smiled.

Saransh:Bye!I have to go and fool others.

They both giggled.

Saransh:I am glad to see you laugh.That means you are not angry with me.

Maitree smiled.

Saransh bid her 'good-bye' again and left.

Present...

Malini:That's so funny.

Maitree:Yes...it was.After that I started watching Saransh's TV show.I started liking his humour sense.

I met him accidentally at a mall as his fan.After that we kept in touch with each other.Surprisingly his family approached my family with a marriage proposal.I had no reason to say 'no'.Thus we got engaged.

Malini:How come his family met your family with the proposal?

Maitree smiled.

Flash back....

Saransh-Maitree exchanged rings at the engagement function.

Maitree:Can I ask you something Saransh?Is it purely an arranged marriage?

He smiled.

Saransh:I know what you mean.You want to know whether I decided to marry you only because my parents asked me to do so.Right?Actually no.I liked you at our meeting itself.Usually I forget the people I fool.But surprisingly I did'nt forget you.So when we met again at the mall I became happy.My parents understood that I like you very much.That's why they proceeded with the marriage proposal.

Maitree smiled shyly.

Saransh:What about you Maitree?

Maitree:I started liking you after watching your show.My crush on you turned into love during our interactions.

Saransh smiled cheerfully.

Present...

Malini:Very simple and sweet love story.

Maitree smiled.

Malini:I am so happy for you Maitree.

Malini hugged Maitree cheerfully.

Naren finished narrating Saransh-Maitree's love story.

Nandini was confused.

Nandini:Saransh and Maitree's love story?How is it possible?You and Maitree love each other.

Naren:The surprise which I wanted to give you was not to introduce my lover.Because I don't have any lover.

Nandini was stunned:Then Maitree?

Naren:Maitree loves Saransh.The surprise was to introduce my twin brother Saransh to you.

Nandini could not believe her ears.

Nandini:What?Twin brother?You have a twin brother?

Naren:Yes.Saransh is my twin.Like Maitree even you have not watched 'Golmal',so you have not seen Saransh.I wanted to surprise you by revealing that to you.But you misinterpreted it without listening to the whole thing.

Nandini was embarrassed.

Nandini:I am sorry.

Naren:I think you went back home because of your unnecessary thoughts and not because of any stomach pain.

Nandini looked down in shame.

Naren:What did you tell me?You love me?

Nandini became shy.

Nandini:I just lied to make you spill out the truth.Because I thought you were going to fool me with your fake love story.

Naren:Oh really?

Nandini gave him an embarrassing smile.

Naren:There are some crazy girls who are trying to woo me.I am thinking of choosing one among them as I need to settle down.

Nandini became dull.

Nandini:But what if somebody loves you silently since a long time?

Naren:Who can love me silently?

Naren pretended to think.

Naren:I can't make out who can love me silently.

Nandini became dull.

Suddenly Naren looked at her and asked her:Is that girl you?

Nandini was stunned by his question.

Ho.. Ik din toh aayega

Naren:I know that you love me Nandini.You yourself blurted out that.Then why are you denying it?

Nandini was silent,but she was surprised to know that Naren was already aware of her feelings for her.

Nandini:Yes,I love you Naren.

Naren smiled.

Naren:I also love you Nandini.

She smiled cheerfully.They shared a romantic eye lock.

Naren knelt down before Nandini and asked her:Nandini,will you marry me?

She became emotional.

She held his hand and said:Yes Naren.I want to marry you.Take me with you Naren.I am waiting for that moment.
