People saying as if this is what BB2 was for kiara..just walk in to an established franchise..no..SK and Rajkumar along with all the cast made stree into a franchise..so if they are benefiting from it..whats the issue? Does not take their starpower away..so many male actors also benefit from their franchises..some also walk into a successful one and put a permanent end to it

Not taking away from the cast’s contributions - but yeah, gotta give credit where it’s due.

Story as well as actor matters. After Stree 1 most are interested in Stree 2 plus Independence day holiday.

Rani Laxmibai.. wanted movie on her badly. It was made but actor playing in it was not acceptable so skipped it. That's how actors matter.

Booked my tickets for Stree 2 on Wednesday.. excited to see the movie.

If anyone thinks Stree is opening big because of Rajkumar Rao. Its all Shraddha's husn and ada..she looks simply ethereal in all the promotions sofar as well...Alia is definitely fuming somewhere (still love you Alooooooo..but credit where due.)

This is a movie where the female lead is more popular, commercially successful than other cast members and it’s being marketed as a Shraddha and cast movie. Franchise effect aside, people forget Shraddha is very well liked in India, specially in heartland India, and the fact that a female led cast is doing better than Akki and John movie is progress in equalizing the male centric industry. Shraddha deserves credit for the bumper opening this movie will take. Just like Crew, and every other female led movies.

these are same people who cribbed that Rajkumar doesn’t have star power when that Mahi movie failed or said his critically acclaimed movies fail at the box office becausehe doesn’t have star power

Shraddha’s filmography isn’t perfect or balanced like Alia’s’ but she has great successes from Aashiqui to Ek Villian to TJMM and lots of hit songs to her credit. She has paved her own way, and she just likely did what no one else could do- give 10+ cr in just advance booking.

If Shraddha manages to do it, she deserves it. I am happy for her. She stays out of drama as well.
