Also most Americans recognize the rape problems in the US too. Most of the rape issues in the western countries are about consent. Two people go on a date and make out. Then the girl wants to stop and the guy can't handle it and forces himself on her. Then the girl reports the rape. It's a huge problem on college campuses and from what I've seen, they are trying very hard to make men understand what consent actually means. Just because a girl went on a date with you and you paid for dinner doesn't mean anything. Even if you're halfway there and she wants to stop, you have to stop.

The point is that people are ready to face it and come up with ways to try to bring this problem down. There's no easy fix but at least people recognize the issue. Nobody says things like "What about India?!! What about Uganda? What about this? What about that?"

When the Catholic church gets in trouble for sexually abusing 14 year old boys, they don't start shouting "What about Muslims? What about Hindus?" They deal with their own problems instead of engaging in constant BS to deflect attention and doing nothing productive.

In India, they are too busy spreading whatsapp propaganda and doing whataboutism and 'mera bharat mahaan' chants.

Most women in India feel fearful of walking on the street alone especially after dark. There is fear of using public transportation. Men leer and stare and make dirty comments. Ask girls that have to use the bus and see what they tell you about how men try to take their chances touching and molesting during crowds. South Asian men even online make disgusting comments and have a reputation for being perverts. This kind of stuff generally does not happen in western countries and women don't live in constant fear of sexual harassment.

You are not saving the image of India by doing all this constant copy/paste whataboutism. Nobody is fooled.

Honestly the way some of the people have responded here is terribly concerning. Makes me think if ever a woman/child asks you for help when in grave danger, you would first ask their religion and then think of helping. And the people throwing stats are equally disgusting. If someone gets murdered in your house, your first response shouldn't be 'well there was a murder in my neighbours house as well'. Thats the analogy y'all morons are putting here. Your first thought should be to catch the culprit to make the household safe and nobody is exempt from suspicion. Its like am explaining this to lil children here. I can't believe this is the mental capacity of Indian men.

Propaganda tactics should always be called out. They come when there is no interest in actually making any progress. It's a way to do nothing and blame others instead. It's all about creating diversions by confusing the public.

No problem can be dealt with because other people and places also have their own problems. So then you can just throw your hands up and continue with the status quo. If these techniques continue, India is doomed.

And why shouldn't we be concerned about rapes in Madrassas and their streets and the politically sponsored rapes when they're concerned about India

Why is it outrageous? Rape is a rape, child is a child

Doesn't mean we are denying what's happening in India

Does one group owns the right to throwing religion during argument?

The same people who started it are shocked when others talk back

Looking at some of the replies here,India is pretty much doomed. Lets not indulge these morons anymore. Its like talking to brainless people and lowering ones IQ. Its a futile exercise at the end of the day. They seem like they're 12.
