WHY is Taapsee MISSING from Soorma promotions?

WHAT is keeping Taapsee Pannu AWAY from promoting her film 'Soorma'...? Here's why...

For all this while, we have seen Diljit Dosanjh going all out to promote his upcoming film 'Sorrma'. However, it's lead actress, Taapsee Pannu is missing from the action and the reason for this is, rescheduling of the release date of 'Soorma'.

As per the plan, 'Soorma' was scheduled to release on 25th May, following which Taapsee had already committed her dates to Sujoy Ghosh's upcoming thriller 'Badla' where she will be reuniting with her Pink co-star, Amitabh Bachchan. The dates for the shoot were already planned and it couldn't be changed.

This left Taapsee with only an option to skip the promotions of the film and start shooting with her 'Badla' team. Currently, she is shooting in Scotland and since she couldn't be physically present, she is making sure she promotes the film on social media. Despite her hectic schedule in the Scottish Highlands, Taapsee has been enthusiastically updating her followers on the promotional activities.

When asked about her sheer commitment to the film, Taapsee said, "I am very attached to my films and I feel responsible for them. Promotion is also a part of the entire process of film release and I want to be there for my films in whichever way possible. Since I couldn't be there physically present for soorma I am trying to do whatever possible from here in Scotland through my social media."

'Soorma', directed by Shaad Ali is a biopic based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh starring Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi and is all set to hit the silver screens on July 13, 2018.
