Vidyut Jammwal's IB 71 trailer; the espionage thriller is based on India's victory in 1971 Indo-Pak war

Vidyut Jammwal is set to star in a new spy thriller called IB 71, which is based on a true story about India's "most confidential mission" during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. In the film, Vidyut plays an Air Force officer named Dev Jammwal who leads a team of 30 agents in a top-secret mission to save the nation. The plot involves blocking airspace to prevent an attack on India by Pakistan and China. The movie also stars Anupam Kher and Vishal Jethwa in important roles. Directed by Sankalp Reddy, known for the movie Ghazi, the film is set to release in theaters on May 12.
IB 71's official synopsis reads, "30 agents, 10 days, and 1 top secret mission that was hidden for 50 years! Witness this incredible true story that made us win the 1971 Indo-Pak war. IB 71, a patriotic spy thriller, is an untold story based on true events where IB agent Dev Jammwal is on a top secret mission to save the nation."

He also praised the Intelligence Bureau for their work in conducting the secret mission and outwitting the enemy, which gave India's armed forces the advantage needed to face a two-front war.
Director Sankalp Reddy spoke about the thrill he felt while working on the film and his admiration for Vidyut's acting abilities. IB 71 marks Vidyut's debut as a producer under his banner, Action Hero Films. The film is also backed by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, Reliance Entertainment, and Abbas Sayyed. Aditya Shastri wrote the story and serves as co-producer with Aditya Chowksey and Shiv Chanana.
