John Abraham has amassed substantial wealth over the years from his films, sporting league, production house and endorsements. But he still believes in living a middle-class life. The hunk who is from a family of architects began his career at an advertising firm before he made it big in the world of modelling. He told Ranveer Allahbadia in his podcast that he believed more in living by middle class values than showing off. John Abraham said the value system of a middle class person is his biggest strength.

John Abraham said he is not someone who wants to romanticize his struggling days but believes his journey has shaped his persona. He told Ranveer Allahbadia, “Value-creation is more important than wealth-creation… I always say that I'm a middle-class person, not to romanticise my struggles, but to say that the value-system that every middle-class person has is their biggest strength. Being middle-class is an advantage… Make money, generate wealth, but mentally, always remain middle-class."

Over the years, he has made a lot of money. His Bandra is an architectural wonder. This New Year, he purchased a bungalow worth Rs 75 crores on Linking Road. The area is prime property in Bandra. The name of the place is Nirmal Bhavan. While he has spent big on real estate and other assets, he does not like to show off with fancy cars, shoes or clothes. He was quoted as saying on the podcast, “I don't want to create a false impression, but every piece of clothing I own can fit inside a single suitcase. I don't have many clothes, and I want to keep it simply. I usually wear slippers. I drive a pickup truck, and my driver, who has been with me for many years, would often tell me to buy a more expensive car. I asked him why. When I go for shoots, the production sends an Innova, and my office is just 1 kilometre away from my house. What will I do with a car worth Rs 4 crore? It's a depreciating asset, and it will have no bearing on my work."
