Superstar Rajinikanth Hails Big B's Resilience and Showers Praises on Him

Amitabh Bachchan is reuniting with the legendary Rajinikanth for the movie titled Vettaiyan. These two powerhouses of talent had earlier collaborated on the 1991 family drama Hum. Recently, Rajinikanth spoke about Big B's bankruptcy days and praised him for his resilience.

At the audio launch of Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth reminisced about the struggles Amitabh Bachchan faced, particularly the phase when the latter suffered huge financial losses.

Rajinikanth recalled that when Amitabh Bachchan ventured into producing movies, he incurred significant losses. The impact was so severe that Big B couldn't even afford to pay his watchman, and his Juhu home went into public bidding. "At that time, the whole of Bollywood was laughing at him," Rajinikanth remarked.

He further added, "He did all the ads, hosted KBC, earned all the money, and bought back not just his Juhu home, but also three more homes on the same street. He is such an inspiration. He is 82 years old, and he still works 10 hours a day."

Vettaiyan is slated for release in October 2024. Fahadh Faasil also plays a pivotal role in the film, which is helmed by TJ Gnanavel. The cast includes Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and others. The movie is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner.
