Throwback to when Shweta Bachchan got candid about big fights with mom Jaya Bachchan

The Bachchan family has been in the news for the reported/alleged rift with bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. We know that Jaya Bachchan is famous for her headstrong personality. Her arguments in the Parliament go viral on social media. When Shweta Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan had come together on Koffee With Karan season 2 Karan Johar asked them what they fought about. The other mother and daughter pair was Esha Deol and Hema Malini. Shweta Bachchan said they fight over everything. Jaya Bachchan replied with a smile after some minutes that they do not fight, but they get angry. 

Shweta Bachchan told her mother not to sugarcoat things saying that they did fight. She was quoted as saying, “We fight, mumma. Don’t sugarcoat it." Jaya Bachchan said they tend to bang phones. Shweta Bachchan said if she ever banged the phone, her mother could call her later and say how dare she bang the phone, given that she is much younger. Then, she would bang the phone. 

When Karan Johar asked if the men of the Bachchan household were more peaceful, Jaya said that was not the case. Shweta felt otherwise while Jaya Bachchan said that Abhishek Bachchan has an opinion on everything in the house. Shweta Bachchan hinted that her brother switched sides easily, and knew how to have his way. 

She told Karan Johar, “Abhishek is so smooth. He butters up everyone the right way. I am the one who gets into trouble because I have an opinion on everything.” 

The third generation of the Bachchan family is now making news. Agastya Nanda has started his film career, and will be seen next in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis. Navya Naveli Nanda made news as she enrolled in IIM Ahmedabad for a course in business meant for entrepreneurs. Aaradhya Bachchan also made news for her recent appearances at fashion events.
