Mukesh Khanna never fails to be in the news. Mahabharat’s Bheeshma Pitamaah and TV’s beloved Shaktimaan has made news with his statements time and again. He has got mixed reactions from people for this. A throwback interview of him has gone viral where he spoke about how upset he was to be termed as a copy of Amitabh Bachchan

He said he knew that Mithun Chakraborty tolerated comments like ‘Gareebo ka Amitabh Bachchan’ (a poor man Amitabh Bachchan’s). Khanna said he would have lost his cool if someone said that to him. He said multiple people told him that he resembled Amitabh Bachchan and copied him.

He was quoted as saying, “A string of my films flopped, which is why people said that. Here, only success speaks the loudest. When Mahabharat happened, no one gave me the label of Amitabh Bachchan, which happened a lot during my film career.”

In Bollywood, we have seen that people who resemble successful star actors do not have a good career. Mukesh Khanna said when people came to know that Amitabh Bachchan himself said that Khanna copied him, it would mean the end of his career.

Mukesh Khanna had hit back saying, “He did say that, but will I be a flop because of that? Amit ji kaun hai jo mere career ko rok sakte hai?” It seems Amitabh Bachchan was watching a movie with a friend of his in a drive-in theatre. When a commercial featuring Khanna came on screen, he said, ‘Saala copy karta hai’. Shaktimaan actor said YouTubers rang the story years later saying how line of Big B destroyed his career.

Mukesh Khanna said every aspiring actor in India is inspired by someone or the other. Dilip Kumar inspired a legion of actors including Shah Rukh Khan. He said even when Big B made his debut, his roles were inspired from what people saw before on screen. Khanna said he did not mimic any actor in his film, which is why he ended up with a career that was longer than expected.

Huh! Kalesh in old age! These people in theirs 60-year-old and 70-year-old ages can't get over feuds and we expect some 20-30 year olds to "grow up" and stop fighting 🤦‍♀️
