Simi Garewal defends Amitabh Bachchan after viral video on how he ignores Aishwarya Rai; netizens disagree

If social media is to be believed, then the rift between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Bachchan Parivaar is truly exposed. Fans called out Navya Nanda for not liking Mami’s presence at Paris Fashion Week, and praising Alia Bhatt instead. Now, a handle on Instagram Jagruk Jantaa has said the Bachchan family is an example of how bahus are always treated differently from daughters. The anchor said that girls are told, even as children that there will always be a difference on how you get treated at your in-law’s home. She said such discrimination is being endured even by the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is educated, talented, beautiful and literally a global icon. 

After seeing the video, Simi Garewal commented, “You people don't know ANYTHING. Stop it.” She is a good friend of the Bachchan family. Amitabh Bachchan and she worked together in movies like Kabhie Kabhi. Fans still remember the episode where Big B and Jaya Bachchan did an interview with her. Recently, she said that people still do not believe that Amitabh Bachchan was being honest about Rekha in his interview. Here, netizens have disagreed with Simi Garewal.

A person angrily commented, “We have seen all their interviews and Jaya's behavior!,” while others said they were worried about the well-being of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. A comment read, “Mam, plz someone tell us because we are very concerned for Aishwarya's health and of course her career which she killed by leaving films for Abhishek.” Curious netizens wanted more gossip from Rendezvous host, saying, “Can you please fill us in Simi? People can see how Aishwarya is being ill-treated. Please don’t say we’re delusional now.” 

Concerned fans also said that the Bachchan show of animosity was hurting the whole fandom. A lengthy comment read, “Simi ji I love you so much. You must understand that both Aishwarya and Bachchans are strongly loved by their fans and have had one of the most celebrated marriages publicly but they are both also making a public spectacle of themselves appearing separately, ignoring each other without any explanation to their fans who cheered for them, of course people will be curious if it just goes silently unexplained hence all these speculations.” 

The actress won an award for Ponniyin Selvan at SIIMA 2024. None of the Bachchan family members congratulated her on social media.
