Akshay Kumar will do a cameo in Stree 2

Fans of Stree 2 are eagerly waiting for Independence Day 2024. Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao are back with the horror comedy sequel set in the town of Chanderi. The teaser of the movie has got a good response. The makers have retained the original cast and ensemble characters that made Stree such a memorable film. Now, reports have come that Akshay Kumar will make a surprise cameo in Stree 2. This was revealed by a leading newspaper.

Sources have told Hindustan Times that the rumours of his cameo are indeed true. The source was quoted as saying, “Akshay has a cameo in the Rajkummar Rao- Shraddha Kapoor starrer. The makers felt his comedy timing is impeccable, and his presence even for a few minutes will elevate that particular sequence.” Akshay Kumar has fab comic timing and fans want his return to the genre. They wanted him in Bhool Bhulaiya 3 but unfortunately that is not happening.

The first part of Stree left people with many questions. Amar Kaushik in an interaction said, “Ours was a small film and we thought that we had a lot more to tell in terms of a story. There were a lot of questions that were left unanswered in the first part, and we had answers to all of them. But, we weren’t certain that we wanted to make a sequel.”

Akshay Kumar has comedy movies like Khel Khel Mein, Welcome To The Jungle, Housefull 5 and more in the pipeline. As of now, all eyes are on Sarfira. It is the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster Soorarai Pottru that had Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles. In Khel Khel Mein, he has Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor and Ammy Virk as his co-stars.

The cast of Welcome To The Jungle is a huge one. The makers have roped in 90s diva Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Shreyas Talpade and more actors for the comedy set in a jungle. Fans of Akshay Kumar are dying to see him in a blockbuster. Sarfira has got a great response so far. Let us see how the actor surprises us in the coming months.
