He is the brother of Rowdy star Vijay Deverakonda who is rumouredly in a relationship with Rashmika Mandanna. It seems the two fell in love while working together in Geetha Govindam. The rom-com is one of the big hits of their career. While she has not admitted to their affair, the actress has said that he is a very important person in her life. She said that he is not a yes man, and has helped shape her personality. 

When she was asked about who was her fave co-star in the industry, she said she did not wish to be put in a spot. She told Anand Deverakonda that he was like a family member so why was he doing so. She also said that Anand was like an elder brother she did not have in real life. Rashmika Mandanna has a younger sister, Shiman.
