Vivek Oberoi talks about the loss of childhood sweetheart due to cancer

Vivek Oberoi had earlier mentioned that he preferred casual relationships over long-term commitments when he was young. The actor recently revealed the heartbreaking reason behind this preference.

In a recent interaction, Vivek shared how he lost his childhood sweetheart to cancer, which made it difficult for him to form deep connections with anyone. He said, “I didn’t want to go through more heartbreak, so I decided that only casual relationships would work for me.”

He further explained that casual relationships felt more manageable, and he didn’t have many serious girlfriends. Instead, he focused primarily on his studies and early business ventures.

He added, "I was very clear that I wasn’t interested in a serious, committed relationship, and that was because my childhood sweetheart had passed away from cancer."

Vivek was last seen in the series Indian Police Force, directed by Rohit Shetty, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The show also featured Sidharth Malhotra and Shilpa Shetty alongside him.
