Riddhima remembers father Rishi Kapoor on his birth anniversary, wishes he could celebrate with granddaughters

He has left behind a remarkable legacy through his diverse performances, whether as the young romantic Raja in Bobby (1973) or the menacing Rauf Lala in Agneepath (2012). On his birthday anniversary today, September 4, his daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, fondly recalled the legendary actor, mentioning that Raha is like a "mini you." She also expressed her wish that he could have spent time with his granddaughters, Raha Kapoor and Samara Kapoor Sahni.
On Wednesday, Riddhima Kapoor shared a nostalgic photo on Instagram featuring her father, Rishi Kapoor, enjoying a moment with his granddaughter, Samara. The heartwarming Instagram story captured Rishi and Samara gazing at what seemed to be his birthday cake placed on the table.
The jewelry designer wrote a heartfelt and extensive tribute as she reminisced about her beloved father. In her caption, she mentioned the striking resemblance between her daughter, Raha, and him. Riddhima expressed deep emotions, revealing how much she misses him and how her love for him continues to grow with each day that passes.

Riddhima affectionately mentioned her daughter, Samara, as "bandari," a nickname Rishi used for her, and shared that she has grown up so much. "And baby Raha is the cutest. Neetu shared Riddhima's Instagram story showcasing Rishi and Samara spending time together in the past. In another story, the Jugjugg Jeeyo actress combined two photos of the late actor, one from his younger days and another from his later years. In a particular memory, the Bobby actor gazes intently in the background, clad in a blue shirt.

Rishi Kapoor was born on September 4, 1952. He was the second son of the Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema, Raj Kapoor, and his wife, Krishna Raj Kapoor. Rishi was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2018 and traveled to New York for his treatment. He later returned to Mumbai in 2019.
Rishi Kapoor left us on April 30, 2020, before he could finish filming Sharmajee Namkeen. The movie was released posthumously after his passing, with Paresh Rawal taking over to complete the 2022 film.
