The film is about an honest cop Raghu, who gains the power of invisibility, and becomes a vigilante to take revenge on those who have wronged him.
Emraan Hashmi plays a cop Raghu who is an honest officer. He does a good job till he gains his invisibility powers. Firstly one would wonder why Emraan chose a film like Mr. X, soon we realize 'they are family' since it's a movie from the Bhatt camp. He is the only tolerable part in the movie, but when he tries to connect the logic of the scientific world and God, the movie stands out like a sore thumb.
Amyra Dastur plays the role of Sia who is a cop as well and Raghu's fianc. She is the spelling mistake in the movie. What she does in the movie is far from acting. Neither does she look sensuous nor glamourous. Arunoday Singh plays the ACP. His bulky body looks apt for the role but when he fights with Emraan, it becomes difficult to digest.
Ankit Tiwari and Jeet Gannguli do a great job with the music. Anyways it's an Emraan Hashmi movie; if nothing else works the music will for sure. The movie is dull in most of the parts. It could rather be an episode of CID, but sitting through two hours of the movie is very tiresome.
All in all, the movie is good for the songs and nothing more. So you could axe Mr. X and look into other options this week.
