Kalki 2898AD is coming on June 27, 2024 in global cinemas. Made on a budget of Rs 600 crores it needs a great first weekend to gain that momentum at the box office. Prabhas’ movies have always got good openings so it is not an issue per se. One of the biggest markets for Telugu films is North America. They have premier shows a day before the release in India. The advances for Kalki 2898 AD is already happening at a brisk rate. It has overtaken that of Salaar that had made USD 1.95 million in advances for the premiere show. Kalki2898AD has crossed the USD two million mark and now all eyes are on whether it will cross the milestone set by RRR. 

Kalki 2898AD rocking in North America premiere advance sales

As per The Times of India, it is the fastest movie to cross the USD 1 million mark for advance premiere sales. It has sold 50K plus tickets in the North America market. Kalki 2898AD made on a budget of Rs 600 crores is the most expensive Indian movie ever. While the rushes in Prabhas’ traditional territories is good, the buzz in the Hindi market is kind of low. It is also a prestige project for Indian cinema. The kind of VFX seen in Kalki 2898AD is a first for South Indian movies. It is giving the vibe of movies like Dune, 10000 BC, Mad Max: Fury Road and others. 

The entire team did a promotional event in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan stepped out in ages to promote a movie. The camaraderie of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Rana Daggubati won over everyone. The actress stunned in a black bodycon dress. She also spoke about how Prabhas got food for everyone on the sets. She said, at one point, it became a full-fledged catering service. Prabhas is playing the role of Bhairava. His styling is quite good for the film. It is produced by Ashwini Dutt who is the founder of Vyjayanthi Movie, and father-in-law of Nag Ashwin.
