John Abraham’s Vedaa delayed: Makers await censor board clearance amidst release date pressure

They submitted the film for review well before the required eight weeks before its release date. The film was screened by the CBFC on June 25. However, instead of receiving feedback or a decision, the makers were informed that the film was being sent to a revising committee.

The statement read, "We applied for a certificate well before the eight weeks deadline. After the screening on June 25, we were moved to a revising committee review without knowing the committee's concerns or objections. We have been waiting patiently for the committee to be formed and have documented our appeals daily. Despite this delay, we believe in the system and are confident the CBFC will resolve this issue."

The makers of Vedaa are hopeful that the film will be able to meet its release date. They believe Vedaa is a powerful and entertaining film inspired by current events. They are eager for the film to reach its audience and are making every effort to ensure its timely release.

Vedaa also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Sharvari Wagh, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The film is set to be released on August 15, 2024.
