Govind Arun Ahuja, commonly known as Govinda or Chichi Bhaiya, was born on December 21, 1963 and will be turning 49 this year, thus starting a new chapter in his life!

timing, many of his movies are in the comedic genre! The actor has always been appreciated for his performances that have always put a smile on the viewers faces!

Govinda began his career with the movie Ilzaam, which was a huge success and became one of the top films of that year! After that, he tasted commercial success with Shola aur Shabnam and many other movies. Starring in hits such as Aankhen, Raja Babu, Love 86, Khudgarz, Hum, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Coolie No. 1, and Deewana Mastana, the actor became one of the biggest superstars of the Era. He even received a FilmFare for best comedian, for Haseena Maan Jayegi.

Luck not being in his favor, he soon faced a set back in the 2000s as he starred in commercially flopped movies which eventually led him to join politics where he became a Member of Parliament from the North Mumbai region. However, not being happy with that choice, he gave up his constituency to concentrate back on his film career which was the only career that he felt would make him happy. Following that, he made a comeback in movies such as Bhagam Bhaag, Salaam-e-ishq and Partner!

Govinda got married in March of 1987, to Sunita who he met on the sets of his movie Tan Badan. The couple has two kids, a girl named Narmada and a boy named Yashvardhan.
