Govinda Discharged from Hospital After Self-Inflicted Gunshot Injury; Says Jai Mata Di

Actor Govinda who accidentally shot himself in the leg on October 1, 2024 has finally been discharged from the hospital. The actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Criticare Hospital after he suffered an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. Days later, the Shiv Sena leader made his first appearance after leaving the hospital in a wheelchair. He expressed appreciation to the paparazzi and fans for their steadfast support.

Today, on October 4, Govinda was released from the hospital after displaying signs of significant recovery. In a video shared by the paparazzi, the actor-turned-politician was accompanied by his wife, Sunita Ahuja, and children Tina Ahuja and other loved ones. He emerged in a wheelchair with a crêpe bandage on his knee.

The actor was welcomed by the paparazzi with loud cheers showing their affection and chants of ‘Jai Mata Di, Happy Navratri, and Jai Shree Ram.’ In response, the Govinda No. 1 actor blew flying kisses and flashed a broad smile with folded hands. The actor’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, was standing beside him and was seen getting emotional over the touching moment.

Along with this, he also addressed the media and expressed his appreciation to the fans for their constant support. He thanked his fans from across the nation for all their love in the form of prayers. He also made a special mention of the administrative police force, media personnel, and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.

For those who may not know, on October 1, 2024, Govinda accidentally shot himself with his revolver around 4:45 AM while placing it in the almirah before departing the city. Following the unfortunate incident, he was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery.

Hours after being admitted to the hospital, Govinda released a voice note to reassure his fans and the media about his condition. In the message, he expressed his gratitude for the support he had received, stating that thanks to the blessings of his family, parents, and guru, he had been shot but that the bullet had been removed.
