Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is set to question Neha Dhupia, Bipasha Basu, and Ekta Kapoor. The investigation concerns payments from a company formerly run by Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. The aim is to understand the financial dealings and payments made to these individuals.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is expanding its investigation into a financial fraud case involving Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, a company previously managed by Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. The couple is currently under scrutiny for an alleged Rs 60 crore fraud related to the company. Best Deal TV, which also had Akshay Kumar as a co-founder, was promoted as India's first celebrity-driven teleshopping channel.

As part of the ongoing probe, the EOW intends to question Ekta Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, and Bipasha Basu. The focus of these inquiries will be on the financial aspects of their involvement. Specifically, the authorities aim to gather information about the payments these individuals received for their promotional activities related to the company, including how these funds were distributed.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is broadening its investigation into Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, a company previously managed by Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra, focusing on potential financial irregularities. The probe team suspects that Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd engaged various celebrities for branding and promotional activities, and is now meticulously examining all financial transactions associated with the company. A source quoted by NDTV indicated that the company's funds are alleged to have been misused, prompting a thorough scrutiny of every financial movement.

The case against Shetty and Kundra, along with other unidentified individuals, stems from allegations of defrauding businessman Deepak Kothari of Rs 60.4 crore. The fraud is related to a loan-cum-investment deal connected to Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Kothari, a director at Lotus Capital Finance Services, a non-banking financial company, filed the complaint. In response to the investigation, Lookout Circulars (LOCs) were issued against Shetty and Kundra earlier this month.

Last week, Kundra was questioned for over five hours in connection with the fraud case. He maintained his innocence, expressing confidence that the truth would be revealed. The EOW's investigation aims to uncover the full extent of the financial dealings and potential misuse of funds within Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd.
