'Banks have been wiped off', Karisma Kapoor's kids' lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani questions Priya Sachdev

Priya Kapur, Karisma Kapoor's kids Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor have submitted before the Delhi High Court that neither they or their counsel would give interviews or information related to the case to press. This was after Priya Kapur moved an application saying that she would submit list of personal assets and liabilities of late husband in a sealed cover. Under the clause, both of them would be bound under confidentiality agreement.

The list will be made in a sealed cover but copies would be given to all parties. These include Karisma Kapoor's kids as well as Rani Surinder Kapur, the mother of late Sunjay Kapur. Justice Jyoti Singh dictated the order in Delhi High Court. The court said that the 'Will' will be kept in possession of registrar general till the next date of hearing. The Court has also told Rani Kapur not to give any statements to the media.

Mahesh Jethmalani fights hard for Karisma Kapoor's kids

Mahesh Jethmalani who is representing Karisma Kapoor's kids questioned the need of confidentiality in the case. He stated that between August 26 - 28 there was a flurry of activity where assets were appropriated by the defendant to herself. He said that few bank accounts which are in the Will have been emptied.

He said, "This is the conduct of person who wants confidentiality. A six percent shareholding has been appropriated to the defendant. According to this patently bogus Will I have been deprived of everything. For me there is no confidentiality."

Rajiv Nayar who is the counsel for Priya Sachdev said that the assets are not a subject to be debated on a public domain. He said this is a trial by media. He said his client has not interest in what is happening outside. Samaira Kapur, Kiaan Raj Kapur have filed the case against Priya Kapur and her son, as well as Shradha Suri Marwah - who is supposed to have made Sunjay Kapur's Will in March 2025.

Samaira and Kiaan are demanding one/fifth share in the assets of their late father. They also want a complete record of all the personal assets and effects of late Sunjay Kapur. They have alleged that the will could be a forged one.
