Priyanka Chahar Choudhary reportedly cast as lead in Naagin 7, joins Ektaa Kapoor’s supernatural franchise

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is set to step into the supernatural universe of Naagin 7. The actress, best known for her role in Udaariyaan and her memorable journey on Bigg Boss 16, has reportedly been finalised as the lead for Ektaa Kapoor’s long-running television franchise.

According to a report by ABP Saas Bahu Aur Saazish, Priyanka will headline the upcoming season of the Colors TV show. While neither the channel nor producer Ektaa Kapoor has made an official statement about the casting, the announcement of the new season was confirmed on August 24 through a short teaser.

The last season of Naagin, fronted by Tejasswi Prakash, concluded in July 2023. Following the format since 2018, each season introduces a new female lead, with earlier names including Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, Nia Sharma, and Surbhi Chandna. The franchise, launched in 2015, has maintained its position as one of Indian television’s most-watched supernatural dramas.

Priyanka’s entry is being discussed widely among television watchers. Known for her strong screen presence in Udaariyaan, she later became a household name with Bigg Boss 16, where she finished as the second runner-up. More recently, she appeared in the web series Dus June Kii Raat opposite Tusshar Kapoor.
