Thai pop star BamBam was a part of the very successful K-pop group, GOT7. Now, he is flourishing even as a solo artiste under ABYSS, another agency. Fans of GOT7 and all K-pop groups got worried seeing his latest messages on Instagram and Twitter. Bambam sounded like he was very disappointed with the world around him, and wanted to end it all. This caused a lot of worry to all fans of Got7, and others who flooded social media with messages of love, healing and hope. The singer, dancer, rapper and music composer has now reached Thailand, his home country. Fans were happy to see that his brother has come to receive him. They hoped he would get the rest and help he needed to overcome his bad phase.

Bambam whose real name is Kunpimook Bhuwakul is from Bangkok. His family includes his mother and siblings. Bambam was recruited by JYP Entertainment after they saw his talent on Thai shows. Lisa of Blackpink and he are contemporaries. His mother was a huge fan of Rain, and took him to K-Pop concerts when he was a kid. GOT7 was one of the most loved groups. Most of the Korean members are now enlisted. Jackson Wang is in China performing as a solo artiste under his own label. Bambam is known as one of the best idols when it comes to fan service in Korean pop.

Fans are worried as we heard the news of Astro’s Moonbin just a few months back. He too died by suicide. His social media activity too had sparked concerns about his mental health. The industry can be a very brutal place for young people with endless work, practice, unreal expectations and media glare. This causes a feeling of burnout in many idols. Fans also talk about how it is harder for idols of other Southeast Asian countries to survive in the Korean pop culture.

Bambam has often spoken about Bollywood, and said he did like to come to India. The band has a huge fan base in the country, which is evident from the response to Jackson Wang at Lollapalooza in 2023.
