Baba Siddique Murder: Arjun Bijlani, Aly Goni and Mahhi Vij mourn former Minister’s demise
Tributes pour in for Baba Siddique as friends and celebrities express shock and sorrow over his tragic murder in Mumbai.

On October 12, three unidentified assailants shot dead Baba Siddique, a former minister of Maharashtra, in Bandra East, Mumbai. Following the attack, he was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Many television personalities who were familiar with him and frequently attended his Iftar gatherings expressed their sorrow and paid tribute to him.
Arjun Bijlani, who attended Siddique's Iftar parties annually with his wife, struggled to accept that the former minister was gone. He shared his disbelief on social media, writing, “Rip @BabaSiddique !! Vishwas hee nahi ho raha !!! Why…….. why !!” His heartfelt message reflects the shock felt by many who knew Siddique.
Another friend, Aly Goni, a regular at the Iftar gatherings with his girlfriend Jasmine Bhasin, took a moment to pray for Siddique's soul. He expressed his grief with a post that read, “May Allah rest your soul in peace, Baba Siddique ji. You will be missed; what a gem we lost.” His words capture the deep loss felt by those close to Siddique.
Actress Mahhi Vij shared a touching tribute by posting a picture of her daughter with Siddique from one of the Iftar parties. In her lengthy caption, she honored the man she believed had given so much to everyone around him. She wrote, “We love you forever. Still can’t believe someone who protected all of us, pampered us. Tara Kidhar hai Arre mera bacha Tara. We will never hear these words again.” Mahhi also noted how fortunate her daughter Tara was to have received so much affection from Siddique, ending with, "You gave us so much, Tiger ho aap aur hamesha rahoge."
Shamita Shetty, known for her participation in Bigg Boss 15, also expressed her shock. She posted, “Shocked to hear about Baba Siddique.. !! What’s hapn!!! May his soul rest in peace, and may God give his family the strength to deal with this terrible loss!! #ripbabasiddique.”
Yuvika Chaudhary, who is expecting a baby, also shared a picture of the late minister and offered her prayers for his soul. The outpouring of grief highlights the impact Baba Siddique had on many lives.
