Actor Govinda accidentally shoots himself with his own revolver; rushed to hospital

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda sustained injuries after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his own revolver on the morning of October 1. He has been taken to the hospital due to the leg injuries, according to initial reports.

A senior officer from the Mumbai Police has shared this information, and further details are expected. Following the incident, the actor was quickly transported to the nearest hospital. Initial reports indicate that the shooting was an accident.

"Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now," Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha told ANI.

“We had a 6 am flight to catch for a show in Kolkata and I had reached the airport. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened,” the actor's manager Shashi Sinha said.

"He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now," he added.

Govinda is famous for his comedy blockbusters such as Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Swarg, Saajan Chale Sasural, Raja Babu, Rajaji, Partner, and more. His latest appearance on the big screen was in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja, directed by Pahlaj Nihalani. Unfortunately, the film did not perform well commercially, prompting Govinda to take a break from acting since then.
