Govinda’s Admirer Posed as Maid for 20 Days, Reveals Wife Sunita Ahuja: "She Was a Minister's Daughter"

Wife of superstar Govinda, Sunita Ahuja reveals a minister's daughter disguised herself as a maid and stayed with them for nearly 20 days, even staying up late for him.

Govinda's stardom during the 90s was massive, and he had an immense fan following. During that time, women often gathered outside his house, and according to his wife, Sunita Ahuja, some were so overwhelmed that they fainted after seeing him on stage.

On the podcast Time Out With Ankita, Sunita Ahuja revealed that Govinda's craze during that period was so intense that a minister's daughter, who was a fan, disguised herself as a maid and stayed at their house for 20-22 days. Recalling the incident Sunita says:

There was this fan who pretended to be a house help and she stayed with us for around 20-22 days. I thought that she looked like she was from a well off family. I told my mother-in-law that she doesn’t know how to do the dishes or clean the house. Eventually, we got to know she was some minister’s daughter and a Govinda fan

She also quipped " I was young at that time but I got suspicious. She used to stay up late and wait for Govinda. I was stunned. Finally, I got a background check for her. She then cried to us and confessed she was Govinda’s fan. Then her father came, and brought four cars with him. I think she worked with us for about 20 days. This is the kind of fan following he had".
