TV actress Hina Khan aka Akshara of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fainted on the sets of the show on Thursday morning, but is already back to work. After her collapse from exertion, the actress was immediately taken to Guru Nanak hospital in Mumbai's Bandra area.
She was admitted and kept for a few hours. Having recovered, she returned to work on Friday.
An Indya source tells us that, "She was complaining of dizziness and weakness on the sets but refused to miss her shoots. Knowing Hina's dedication towards work which is something that the entire industry praises her for, it was unsurprising that she should fall fall ill. Rajan Shahi the producer of the show rushed to the hospital to see her. But this has not happened for the first time in the industry and producers are careful about how much they are made to work at a stretch. In fact they often use doubles to continue their shooting."
We spoke to Rajan Shahi, producer of the show, who said: "Now the situation is under control and she is fine. In fact she was discharged the same day. She has come back to shoot. She is very hard working and talented girl."
We tried to get in touch with Hina Khan but her phone was on voicemail.
Passing out is so common among actresses (not actors however) that even the recent past can throw up several incidents. After reports of Parul Chauhan (Bidaai) passing out frequently on the sets, it was the turn of Sara Khan. Then it was Pratigya's lead Pooja Gaur and Bairi Piya's lead actress Supriya Kumari fainted while shooting.
