No real surprises in either side. Dottin is slated to bat in the middle order, with Matthews and Joseph opening. Kapp could be key with the new ball for South Africa, and while she admits it is tough to perform both of her skills at full tilt, she is willing do to it for South Africa and their maiden T20 World Cup pursuit.

The (re)making of Sune Luus

Two years after she last featured as an allrounder, Sune Luus comes into the World Cup with a new skill to add balance to the South African side: offspin

We are all in readiness. Joseph to open alongside skipper Matthews. Kapp has the new ball. This could be a crucial powerplay for both teams. Slip in place for Matthews - let's play!

Clara: "I'm so nervous on behalf of the Proteas. Hope we can adapt to the low and slow wickets. Come on ladies! "

The players line up for their respective national anthems. The West Indies national anthem is up first, followed by South Africa's anthem.

Good bowling performance from South Africa to restrict West Indies to 118. Inserted to bat, the Windies never got any sort of momentum throughout their innings. They lost both their openers inside the powerplay,

Another innings at this T20 World Cup that was devoid of sustained tempo or momentum. West Indies were jolted early, with Kapp accounting for Matthews. Dottin then gave them hope of a counter-attack, only for Dottin to then perish to Kapp. Taylor, who walked in at 3, helped keep the innings together and kept things ticking, even if she was never really able to break free completely. That, coupled with James' cameo, took WI closer to 120.

Stafanie Taylor: It was really hot. The wicket was a bit slow and they started changing pace and using their variations, which made it hard to hit down the ground. We did not get many boundaries and running between the wickets was also hard (because of the heat). It was crucial for us to get some partnerships. Losing Hayley early is never easy, and then losing Deandra as well. It (the plan) was about running between the wickets and then hopefully to get a few boundaries.
