Anupamaa 19th Aug 2024 Written Update and Daily Discussions Thread

Episode begins with Anupama and Abhira doing Pooja of Kanha ji n tying him Rakhee. They pray to Kanha ji for happiness and well being for everyone .
The entire Poddar family is seen gathered around Kaveri Maasa and watch her pack a gift . Manisha and Vidya offer to help but Kaveri insists she will do it herself as this is special . Her husband’s mooh boli behen is coming to tie Rakhee. Manisha is very happy to learn that papa sa had a mooh boli behen . Kaveri states she was coming to this house for the first time .
At Goenka house Manish is being warned by Surekha , that Swarna didi has given strict orders that Manish bhai Saab will not have sweets . Manish protests , he be allowed to enjoy sweets as it is special occasion of Raksha Bandhan , and Joshi Ben was coming to offer them special treats .
Soon Anupama arrives and greets her Goenka sir . She remembers how much he helped her during her flight to Umreeka. She has brought Nandita with her from Asha Bhavan. They enter kitchen and and Manish and Surekha notice Anu is limping . Anu assures she will do her best despite her injury.

At Poddar house the entire family watches as Kaveri paces the floor waiting for her nanad . Soon she rushes to the door to greet her didi sa . All are shocked as they see Maa sa touch her feet n pay her respects. Didid sa is none other than Leela Shah of Amdavad , she is accompanied by Vanraj shah .Kaberi welcomes Vanraj who has now become so tall , she has seen him as a small child . Leela informs he is now a grandpa. Ben Raj pays respects n welcome them inside

Leela expresses her annoyance as Kaveri has never invited her in so many years . Kaveri seeks forgiveness and the Poddar family is shocked to see Kaveri manaoing someone so sweetly . Kaveri introduces her family to Leela didi sa . Abhira informs it’s a small world and she spoke to Anupama on phone few days back . Vanraj is annoyed that Anuoama will never stop following him even if he went to the moon . Kaveri takes Leela inside , she whispers to Abhira not to do anything silly today. And not to inform anyone about the name change thing . Armaan over hears . later Abhira asks his opinion on a change of name . He is against it , he recollects hiw he liked her name even before he met her , then he is not ready to see their beautiful couple name “AbhiMaan” to be changed . Abhira wonders what to do now . Kaveri shares that the chef she had hired is not coming , she had planned to give traditional sweets n food to Didi sa but her plans have failed . She wonders what to do now .Abhira offers to help . Daadi sa declines her offer saying Abhira always created trouble . Abhira requests Daadi sa to give her a chance . Daadi sa fumes as she walks away , expecting trouble .

At Gonka house , Manish, Anupama, Surekha and Nandita have much fun and masti as they prepare sweets together . Anupama shares how she had forgotten her real name for years as she was busy in household chores. A person’s name n identity is very important . Manish appreciates how she struggled to create her name for herself “Super Chef Anupama Joshi”.

Abhira calls up Parnaanu and shares her problems . She speaks to Anupama accidentally as She is using his mobile to record her cooking . Abhira seeks help from Anupama n she agrees .

Soon Leela didi wants to go ahead with Raksha Bandhan rituals . Kaveri gets nervous as the sweets are not ready yet . She makes excuses and sends Leela and Vanraj to go see her haveli , she sends Kaajal and Manisha to show them.

Everyone is surprised tk see Abhura and Anupama arrive carrying huge thaalies laden with festival sweets n snacks . They are followed by Surekha and Manish . Anuoama announces that no festival is complete without sweets n savouries . Leela and Vanraj are furious tk see Anupama here . Ruhi is green with jealous fury and is sure Abhira must have sought help from B naanu . She decides to fight with B naanu over helping Abhira .
kaveri learns about AnuVan relationship and Van uses the opportunity to bad mouth Anupama. Kaveri is furious with Abhira for inviting Anuoama here n annoying her guests.

In the kitchen Abhira and Anupama have moments of sweet bonding , they share mutual appreciation and understanding. Abhira feels bad that Anupama had to face Vanraj’s humiliation.

The chorus gang then comes and hungrily demands to relish the variety of dishes that Anuoama has prepared .

Ruhi comes and rudely reminds Abhira to make up her mind regarding the issue Daadi sa had told her . Anupama feels bad for Ruhinand wonders why they were fighting like siblings , were they sisters ? Later Anuoama cheers up upset Abhira by offering a tasty kachori.

Anupama probes her as she appears very upset . Abhira then shares hiw Daadi sa wanted her to change her name , her behaviour might improve and she should do this for the sakti f Armaan whom she claimed to love , Abhira gets teary eyed as she tells Anupama that this name was her identity and it contained the names of her parents ..Abhinav and Akshara . She does not want to change her name .she did not want to lose her parents names as she has already lost her parents. She gets frustrated that everytime she had to prove herself , her love n her dedication and identity , Anupama gives long lecture and asks Abhira to maintain her identity n not to bow down to pressurising by anybody, even by the Gods . Abhira hugs Anupama for her support . Ruhi over hears this n complains to Daadi sa.

Anupama and Abhira carry the dishes to the waiting poddar family n their gusts .Anupama calls Ghewar a kachori and Kaveri argues with her. Anupama explains how Kaveri got upset when the name of a dish is changed , then it’s very understandable Abhira is so upset .

Anupama gives long lecture to Kaveri on name change of the women after marriage , Kaveri and Anupama have argument . Abhira states that thisnis the only thing she has from her parents , this should not be snatched away from her. Armaan is shocked that Daadi sa was wanting to change Abhira’s name ,he warns if she changed her name then Armaan too would change his name . Kaveri insists on the traditional name change for bahus n humiliates Anupamaa . Anupama and AbhIra are appalled as Kaveri bad mouths Anupama for creating ruckus and giving long lectures as is her habit , she does it everywhere she goes . Here she created ruckus and influenced Abhira.

Both Anu and Abhi disagree. The majority of family members support the two . Leela didi and Vanraj exchange looks and smirk . Ruhi is furious as Armaan professes his love n commitment towards Abhira .

Manish then lightens the situation and reminds it is festival tile n they have gathered to celebrate .

Anupama, Ruhi and Abhira starts the Raksha Bandhan traditional dance . Soon all the poddar ladies join the dance while the gents clap n suport them. Kaveri ties rakhee to Leela didi and Anupama ties rakhee to Manish bhai Saab . YRKKH title song plays in full as Anupama makes reluctant Ruhi and Abhira tie Rakhee to each other .

After all brothers n sisters of the family tie Rakhee , all present there get into the ghoomar dance . Anupama day dreams that Anuj was dancing with her the ghoomar dance .Kaveri watches everyone from the side , Abhira finds Daadi sa staring at her n she stops dancing n remembers their heated exchanges .
