In Vinesh's case she has reached Finals so medal does come into picture. How can her semifinal opponent get to play the finale when she has lost fair and square.

Disqualification is understood as a rule but taking away medal upon reaching finals is stretching a bit. In such scenarios they should revisit the rule for medal criteria atleast because it is unfair to the contestants who fought hard to reach the finals defeating everyone on the way. It is like all that hard work, efforts of everyone involved was thrown into waste.

A disqualified person can't be eligible for a medal. This is the rule written in black and white.

To be within the weight category y for both the tests that is final requirement.

Yes they could visit the rules but that can only happen after the Olympics.as of now this was the rule known by all..

Sports ministry will not leave them. They all will be held accountable for this humiliation at world level,loss of an Olympic medal... Since so much of money has been invested a report would be sought na.. Someone must be held responsible..who will be that scapegoat ..

PT Usha said that because Dr Pardiwala was getting abused day and night for being part of the ‘conspiracy’ since he works in Kokilaben Hospital and hence he was planted by Modi-Ambani to ruin Vinesh’s weight 12 hours before she had her final bout. Hence she clarified that he is not her personal doctor but through IOA ..people know nothing and are out there ruining someone’s stellar reputation because it fits in their maligning agenda.
