It has not even been two full days since South Africa's jailbreak against Netherlands. And just the day before that, Bangladesh, in the early-morning hours in their own local time, just about edged past Sri Lanka in a thriller.

So about 24 hours since that epic low scoring thriller between India and Pakistan, we are back at Nassau County Cricket Stadium for the clash between South Africa and Bangladesh. Both these sides are unbeaten so far in the competition, having pulled through Sri Lanka who many might consider as the only real other challenger for the Super Eights. South Africa have performed superbly with the ball, restricting their opponents to under 110 on both occasions, but they had to get through a nervy start to triumph over their bogey team Netherlands in the last game.

Bangladesh didn't have the greatest of build-ups to this World Cup, losing a game to Zimbabwe and a series to United States, but they got through a tricky chase to one up their new rivals Sri Lanka in their first WC game. They'll look to build on that momentum with another solid performance today. The pitches in New York have been playing slightly better, but the bowlers still hold the edge.

Pitch Report: Playing on the same surface as yesterday and it hasn't fully settled down yet. It will be better for the bowlers, they need to bowl a bit back of length, a little bit shorter than Test match length and force the batters to hit square of the wicket.  Bowling those hard lengths and having people hit square towards the longer boundaries will be difficult.
